The magic of mirrors. Features of mirror magic: how to use a magic item

A magic mirror is a tool that gives real power! Find out how to make it correctly and develop your clairvoyance abilities with it!

A magic mirror¹ is a way of obtaining information and communicating with other dimensions, known since ancient times. It gives the practitioner the powerful power of knowledge. With the help of a mirror you can easily control reality and correct the future.

Few people know how to properly make such a mirror in order to receive the correct answers and protect themselves from entities from the lower planes.

This article describes the technique of making a magic mirror and how to use it to develop clairvoyance.

Making a magic mirror

1. Initially, you need to prepare the mirror itself: it is best to buy a new large mirror (it has no memory). If this is not possible, the old one will do.

It is important that this mirror is not used for other purposes. This is a magic mirror that will be intended only for psychic practices!

2. On the back of the mirror you need to draw a protective sign - a pentagram. It must be drawn with white chalk. The pentagram will protect the mirror from penetration through it.

The star needs to be oriented correctly: one ray should be directed upward, its two rays should be below, at the base.

Attention!

If the pentagram takes an “inverted” position, then the effect will be the opposite - the sign will begin to attract negative entities, often from the lower worlds.

It is important that the shape of the star is drawn symmetrically: its rays must be straight, of the same length and directed at the correct angles. Otherwise, the protection will be ineffective.

Preparation of the Magic Mirror

Executes from Thursday to Friday exactly at midnight. It is useful to check the date according to the lunar calendar so that the position of the moon will facilitate the ceremony. This will strengthen the magic mirror.

1. The practitioner thoroughly washes the mirror: it should be completely clean.

2. A person lights a natural wax candle and runs the flame along the edges of the mirror three times. During this, he pronounces the mystical.

This will remove all negative vibrations and clear the astral memory of the mirror.

The smoke from the candle may leave dark stains on the mirror; they must be erased to restore purity.

3. The practitioner whispers a spell, looking into the reflection of his pupils in a magic mirror:

“Oh, magic mirror! I conjure you to listen only to me and obey me alone! Always tell me only the truth and fulfill all my desires, such is my will, so be it and so be it!”

4. After casting a magic mirror spell, a person covers it with a clean linen or light-colored cotton cloth and puts it in a dark place. It can only be opened immediately before magical practice.

The other person should not look into this mirror: if this happens, it will lose its power.

Technique for developing clairvoyance using a magic mirror

The exercise is performed in the morning or evening, in semi-darkness and a calm environment. You need to turn off your phone in advance and ask your loved ones not to disturb you during this time.

1. The practitioner sits with a straight back in front of the mirror at a distance of slightly more than an arm's length from it.

2. He lights a candle in front of him.

3. After this, the person closes his eyes and relaxes his body, keeping his back straight. During this, he monitors his breathing, relaxing his mind.

4. Once the practitioner feels that he has entered a light meditative state², he opens his eyes and concentrates on the candle, looking into the brightest part of the flame.

You need to watch for 10-15 minutes, without blinking or moving your eyes. If you feel the urge to blink, you can squint your eyelids slightly to calm your eyes.

5. After practice, he sharply raises his eyes and directs his gaze to the reflection of his face in the mirror in the area between the eyebrows (third eye³).

After contemplating the candle flame, you will see a dark spot in the place where you focus your vision. In the reflection in the area between the eyebrows, such a dark spot will appear (this is the so-called “afterimage” from the flame on the retina).

6. A person contemplates the “afterimage” in the reflection of his face in the mirror, right at the point between the eyebrows. It is necessary to hold this dark spot with an effort of will precisely at the point of the third eye, and not allow it to move.

7. The practitioner looks at the “afterimage” in a mirror image until it disappears.

8. Afterwards, he closes his eyes and sits relaxed for 5-7 minutes, listening to his feelings.

With the practice of this technique, you will begin to feel a feeling of pressure, a burning sensation in the area between the eyebrows, and gradually the third eye will “open”!

This exercise develops magical will and increases energy. This technique activates the third eye and speeds up clairvoyance. It prepares the astral body for subsequent exit from the physical body, and also promotes the memory of previous lives.

Attention!

Practice no more than once a day!

The magic of mirrors

It has been customary to classify mirrors as magical objects almost from the very moment of their appearance. Since ancient times, quite a few legends and stories have accumulated about their mystical nature. Let us recall, for example, the fairy tale by A.S. Pushkin about the dead princess, where the mirror was represented as a living creature and served the queen-stepmother for divination, or the Soviet movie “The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors,” where the mirror was a portal between worlds. Such beliefs, preserved by more than one generation, have a very tangible basis.

Mirror magic is witchcraft based on working with mirrors. Such rituals can have different directions: from attracting the attention of a lover to getting rid of the evil eye and damage.

The magic of mirrors refers to the magic of the Water Element, since it has common properties with it. Like the surface of the water, a mirror is an indirect reflection of an image, capable of storing information and opening doors to other worlds. Therefore, a mirror can be used as an attribute of this element on a magical altar (instead of a bowl or shell). In some rituals, water and a mirror can be used together: for example, for divination.

PROPERTIES OF MIRRORS

Different peoples endowed mirrors with different properties, but they all believed that these objects were endowed with special magical energy. In ancient times, people believed that mirrors were capable of remembering everything that was ever reflected in them.

This theory is supported by many modern scientists, however, a method has not yet been invented to reproduce mirror memory.

But in addition to the memory of what was seen, mirrors can also show what has not yet happened. One of the most famous magicians of the Middle Ages, Cornelius Agrippa, became famous precisely because, at the request of people, he conjured images of their lovers in mirrors. The amazing thing is that mirrors could show existing loved ones, as well as dead ones and those not yet met.

VAMPIRE MIRRORS

Vampire mirrors are very dangerous for humans. They can not only deplete a person energetically, but also lead to physical death.

In addition to the many positive properties of a mirror that a person can take advantage of, there are also negative features. For example, for many centuries there has been a belief about the existence of vampire mirrors.

Various sources say that under no circumstances should you hang someone else’s mirror in your own home, as this could lead to the most unpleasant consequences - damage and curses. This is also explained by the memory of mirrors, which could well have witnessed various scandals, quarrels, misfortunes and deaths. Such mirrors can only bring trouble and negative energy into a new home, which will definitely affect the owners.

It is these mirrors that are commonly called vampires, because due to their negative influence, they will suck the vitality out of people. Fortunately, the most dangerous objects with a mirror surface are quite easy to recognize. Due to the presence of a large amount of negativity, they seem to physically feel cold; candles (especially church ones) may go out near them. In some cases, mirrors are able to manifest their memory in the form of a reflection of former owners or remembered events.

It is also worth remembering that no matter how the mirror is made, it will never have a perfectly flat surface; there are always small irregularities and roughnesses that will not allow all the light to be fully reflected. Thus, at least part of the information received by the mirror is not returned, but is remembered.

MIRROR AND MAN

In the mirror you can see the reflection of not only the physical body of a person, but also its energetic manifestations.

Many traditions say that a person has a unique information and energy matrix, which is often called an aura or biofield. There are often cases when this matrix manifests itself on the material plane, it can be seen with the naked eye, in addition, it often appears in photographs.

Mirrors are capable of reflecting not only the visible part of a person’s spectrum - his body, but also any other energy emitted by a person, including the subtlest energy of the matrix. In addition to displaying, the mirror can also remember this energy level, which is why it itself becomes “alive” in some sense.

The use of mirrors in Magic

1 Divination- one of the most common uses of mirrors in magic.

2 Creating a corridor(a portal that penetrates other worlds). The most common ritual is fortune telling for the betrothed, however, it is far from the only one in this category. A magician can create a mirror corridor for any purpose, for any calling of spirits. At the same time, there is a danger that someone could get out of there. To protect himself, the magician must either close the mirrors, or lower one of the mirrors, or break the mirror.

3 Protection- reflection of negativity. For these purposes, a regular mirror is used, as well as one with silver or copper coating. The simplest option for such protection is to carry a small mirror in your breast pocket (or a mirror pendant) with the reflective surface facing away from you. And, if you hang a mirror outside your house, it will reflect the negativity coming from the street.

4 For on casting spells at anyone, both positive and negative. The simplest version of this magic is to smile while looking in the mirror, and it will reflect the received emotions back. For the same reason, you should not look in the mirror in a bad mood. No matter how well a mirror is made, there are roughnesses in it, and they also appear with wear. This means that not all rays are reflected from its surface; some are absorbed and stored. Therefore, do not let other people look into your personal mirror, you never know with what message they will do it.

What to do with a broken mirror?

It is unlikely that a broken mirror can evoke positive emotions in anyone. In magic, breaking this household item is considered a very bad omen. But how can we avoid negative consequences if such a dangerous event has already happened? Do not glue the fragments together... Here are the recommendations given by bioenergetics experts: If the mirror breaks, you need to carefully collect the fragments and throw them away. There is no point in painting the fragments or somehow cleaning them - the destroyed structure will still emit negativity. In general, the less contact you have with a broken mirror, the better for your health.

And the mirror is also a kind of indicator. For example, if there is a difficult situation in the house, someone is seriously ill, then the mirror may break. That is why the sign arose that a broken mirror portends misfortune.

You should be especially alarmed if the mirror burst on its own, no one dropped it or broke it. This is a sure signal that something is wrong in the house or room where the mirror is located.

Under no circumstances should you look into a broken mirror, even if there are no other mirrors nearby. It is believed that a broken mirror promises seven years of failures and misfortunes, and if an unmarried girl looks into it, she will not walk down the aisle for another seven years.

In fact, parapsychologists say, this belief is due to the fact that energy leaks through a broken mirror, and for a person with low energy it is very problematic to achieve some positive changes in life - for example, starting a family.

You should approach the fragments so that your face is not reflected in them. Before cleaning, pour a glass of water over the shards. Never remove them with your bare hands; wear thick gloves or collect them with a cloth. You can sweep them with a broom and dustpan.

Having collected the fragments, put them in an opaque bag and throw it away - just not in the trash, preferably in a river, stream or any place where there is running water (do not put it in the toilet - it will clog!). Then the water will “carry away” the supposed misfortunes. Yes, and it is advisable not to tell anyone about this incident...

Mirror fragments should not be stored at home even for a short time. Make sure to remove them from the house as soon as the mirror is broken.

If the mirror has not shattered into pieces, but only cracked, you may be tempted to leave it in the house - at least for a while. As a rule, we throw away a tiny mirror right away, but if the mirror is large, expensive, antique, with a valuable and beautiful frame, then we hesitate... It would be better not to do this, since a “crack” may arise in your own life - illness you and your loved ones, quarrels, troubles... It is advisable to remove a cracked mirror from the frame. If this is not possible, then turn it towards the wall or cover it with a rag so that the cracked glass is not visible. The best option is to put the mirror somewhere in the closet or on the mezzanine. Take him out of the house as soon as possible. Some people keep cracked mirrors in their dachas or garages, but remember that you still can’t look into such a mirror, so either get rid of it completely or replace the glass.

Sometimes it happens that the mirror does not break, but simply falls out of its frame. There is nothing particularly terrible about this, you just need to look for another frame or replace a household item. But it could be a sign that changes are coming your way or that you need to make some changes in your life. Just think about your life.

Broken mirroris considered a bad omen, but it is wrong to say that after that there will be seven years of misfortune. This, like some other signs (for example, with scattered salt), came to us from ancient times, when mirrors were a luxury item and only rich people could afford them. A broken mirror is a sign that speaks of the completion of something or destruction. To read this sign, you should pay attention to your thoughts at the moment, words or actions. Perhaps your intention to do something at the moment when the mirror breaks will fail in the future, and now it is best to abandon it.

An old mirror with a rich history

If you have old mirror, in which you can sometimes see the reflection of a person who is no longer living, it means that someone is stuck in this mirror, as if in a trap, or someone has manifested themselves (the mirror has become a portal for spirits from another world). In the first case, the same spirit is reflected, while in the second, different spirits can be reflected. In this case, you need to hang the mirror (there is no need to hang the other mirrors) and then carry out a cleansing ritual for 9 days. All this time, the mirror should be covered with a thick (opaque) cloth. If the mirror hangs on the wall, cleansing can be carried out in this place (i.e., there is no need to remove the mirror and place it on the altar).

CLEANING THE MIRROR

A mirror is a storehouse of energy, and often not only positive. And that's why mirrors require cleaning.

Magic rituals in which mirrors are used are very diverse; with their help, you can solve various life problems. At the same time, before using any mirror, in magic or everyday life, it must be cleansed of possible stored negativity.

Fire is considered the main purifier in magical art, but practicing fire cleaning techniques in relation to a mirror is not the best idea, since the flame has too strong and bright energy. The element of water is closer to the mirror surface. Ideally, to clean the mirror you need to use special lunar water, the so-called lunar liquid. To make such water, you need to take a small amount of running water and place it in an open vessel under the moonlight so that the moon itself is reflected in the water.

It is best to charge the liquid during the full moon. Leave the water outside all night, wake up before sunrise and put the liquid in a dark room where the sun's rays will not reach. In the same room, you need to thoroughly rinse the mirror surface with charged water, concentrating on your desire to rid this object of any negative energy.

If any difficulties arise with this method, you can use a simpler technique - place the mirror under running cold water for 10-15 minutes and say your desire to cleanse the mirror of negativity.

Ritual of cleansing the mirror with the Elements

Target: clean the old mirror with a rich history, close the portal, free the soul of the deceased.

Materials: bowl (or other small open container for water), table salt (1 tsp), for fumigation: sandalwood incense or incense, coals and an incense burner (a small bowl of sand will do instead of an incense burner).

Progress of the ritual

1 To cleanse with the Elements of Earth and Water, take a bowl, fill it with clean water and dissolve a spoonful of salt in it. Then, holding the bowl in your hands, freely turn to the Elements with a request to help cleanse the mirror. After this, go to the mirror, soak your fingers in water and sprinkle the old mirror clockwise (you cannot remove the fabric from it), reading the plot:

With Earth and Water I cleanse this mirror.
Let everything negative and otherworldly leave this mirror.
I consecrate this mirror with Earth and Water.
May love and prosperity be in him.

2 To cleanse with the Elements of Fire and Air, light sandalwood incense or light a coal in a censer and place a couple of grains of incense on it. Then, holding the smoking object in your hands, freely turn to the Elements with a request to help cleanse the mirror. After this, go to the mirror and fumigate the old mirror clockwise (you cannot remove the fabric from it), reading the same plot only with an appeal to Fire and Air.

3 After cleaning, the old mirror needs to be moved to a new place or, if desired, you can throw it away (you should not break the mirror).

If a family member dies...

In the event that a family member dies, there is no need to clean the mirrors; it is enough to cover them for 9 days with thick fabric so that nothing can be seen through it. This is necessary so that relatives do not see the deceased in the reflection and, moreover, so that the deceased himself does not get stuck in the mirror. In the first nine days after death, the soul of the deceased is in a transitional state, so during this time it is necessary to hang all the mirrors in the house. However, if, after the expiration of the period, someone from the other side appears in the reflection of the mirror, it is worth carrying out the above-described cleansing ritual.

Signs with mirrors

Under no circumstances should you look into a broken mirror, as you might see the devil. In fact, it is impossible to see the line in a simple broken mirror, however, such actions lead to severe losses of energy, which can have an extremely negative impact on a person’s well-being and entire fate.

If you show a mirror to a small child, he will become timid, will not speak for a long time, and his teeth will cut poorly and slowly. In some cases, this can also cause various diseases. All parents should heed this sign, since children under one year old have practically no protection of their own from negative energy and any negative impact (which can come from the mirror) can be fatal.

Women during their period, as well as during pregnancy and immediately after childbirth, are prohibited from looking in the mirror, as this can lead to the “opening of the grave.” This sign appeared due to the fact that all of the above events significantly weaken the woman’s protective energy, and because of the mirror, her vitality will become even less. Which can lead to various physical and spiritual diseases.

If you suspect a certain person of plotting some kind of evil against you or your family, you need to bring this person to a large mirror and carefully look at the reflection together. If your suspicions are justified, then you will be able to see his true intentions on this person's face.

Every morning you can perform a simple ritual to protect yourself from negativity with a mirror for the whole family. To do this, you need to go to the mirror, hold your hand in front of it at a distance of less than a centimeter, but without touching its surface, and say the words: “Mirror, mirror, you reflect all the bad things that will go into this house. Protect my whole family, save from illnesses and misfortunes (list the names of all household members)."

You should not hang mirrors in the bedroom, especially above the bed and at the head of the room. This arrangement of mirrors is now considered fashionable, but these design solutions do not lead to anything good; moreover, they can destroy even a strong union between a man and a woman.

All mirrors in the house must have frames or frames so as not to injure household members.

All mirrors should hang no lower than the height of the tallest member of the family; no one should look in a mirror where his image is cut off at head level.

American researchers studied human biorhythms and concluded: between 4 and 5 p.m., the body’s energy resources decline, blood sugar levels drop, and daytime stress reaches its peak. And all the flaws in appearance at this moment become more noticeable. A sort of “hour of ugliness,” when even a person who looks great in the morning will be upset when he sees his reflection. How to deal with this? A simple way: do not look in the mirror at this time. Difficult: lead a healthy lifestyle and take care of your appearance so that even at this hour it does not deteriorate too much.

From four to five o'clock in the afternoon it is better not to study your reflection

MIRRORS IN RUSSIA AND OTHER COUNTRIES

In our country, for many centuries, people were suspicious of mirrors and often called them “a gift from the devil.” People believed that through a mirror they could not only receive a strong charge of negative energy, but also transfer it to their loved ones.

Today it is known for certain that Tsar Ivan the Terrible not only believed in various damages and curses, but was also very afraid of them. Documents have survived indicating that he ordered only mirrors made by blind craftsmen to be delivered for his wife.

In China, mirrors were endowed with strong protective magical properties; people believed that these objects were capable of driving out evil, since this evil would look in the mirror, see and realize its own ugliness, and cease to pose a danger to humans.

In Japan, the mirror was of great importance and was considered a symbol of imperial power, along with the throne, sword and Three Pearls, symbolizing courage, knowledge and mercy.

The history of the invention of the first mirror goes back centuries. Ancient products, of course, were not at all similar to modern ones. And in general, we can safely say that an ordinary puddle or any other surface of water was used as the first mirror. But, since it was not entirely convenient to run to the river or wait for rain, polished pieces of volcanic glass soon began to serve as mirrors. Later, polished plates of bronze and metal appeared. But the prototype of a modern mirror can be considered a product made in 1279 using a special technology, which consisted of applying a thin layer of lead to ordinary glass.

Mirror magic

Since ancient times, a huge number of legends, myths and magical rituals have been associated with mirrors. This item can hardly be considered ordinary. People have had rather difficult relationships with mirrors at different times. They attracted and frightened at the same time; in their mystical essence they represent a kind of phantom with the help of which you can touch another world.

In the scientific world, there are several versions explaining why mirrors are a very popular magical attribute.

Namely, with their help you can:

  • Change a person's consciousness;
  • See other realities;
  • Read other people's thoughts.

Since ancient times, during magical fortune-telling sessions, a mirror has been used as a portal between parallel worlds, through which one could not only get into the looking glass, but also summon otherworldly creatures. In the Middle Ages, when persecutions of witches and sorcerers were organized, people were executed or burned at the stake if a mirror was found in their house.

The ancients and philosophers argued that on the other side of any mirror is the soul of the person looking into it. The properties of these objects to absorb, remember, transform and produce information have been known since ancient times. This is why mirrors in the room where the deceased is located should be covered. Otherwise, his soul may go on the other side of the mirror and remain on earth.

It was also noted that the gaze of an irritated or embittered person reflected from a mirror surface can harm another person. It is this property that is often used when performing black magic rituals. And also, therefore, it is not recommended to look in the mirror in a bad mood, because at this moment there may be other people nearby and even children with an energy defense that has not yet been formed, easily penetrated. On the other hand, a person who looks at himself in the mirror during a period of spiritual upliftment programs himself for a future happy and successful life.

There are many magical superstitions associated with mirrors. And in fairness, it should be noted that they are not groundless. For example, it is not recommended to install a mirror in the bedroom in such a way that you can see yourself lying in bed. This is explained by the fact that in a dream a person seems to be immersed in a certain intermediate world, in which his subconscious is completely revealed, and, therefore, becomes susceptible to any influences. Therefore, if negative energy has accumulated on the other side of the mirror, it can break out into the real world and cause irreparable harm to the sleeping person.

Old antique mirrors are especially dangerous, because it is unknown who used them and what information they absorbed over a long period of time. It is very easy to identify a negatively charged mirror. To do this, you need to light church candles near him. If they go out, then you should discard the mirror. Moreover, you cannot simply throw away the item to avoid causing harm to other people. A mirror with negative energy must be drowned in running river water. In this case, even if someone finds him after a while, his negative energy will already be neutralized by water.

You can't spend a long time in front of the mirror. It has been observed in practice that near a mirror a person quickly becomes tired. There are claims that with prolonged contemplation of one’s own reflection, a person’s memory deteriorates. According to another version, mirrors accelerate the aging process because they take energy from a person, like vampires. It is also not recommended for sick people to look in the mirror. It has long been forbidden for women to look in the mirror while expecting a child. It was believed that otherworldly forces could harm the newly born baby. It is well known that coming back for something is a bad omen, but to remove the negative you should look in the mirror.

It is believed that breaking a mirror means causing trouble. This superstition is explained by the ability of mirrors to modify the space around them. That is, when a mirror breaks, spatial connections that affect all spheres of human life are destroyed along with it. And, consequently, this leads to various negative consequences in personal and everyday life. It is generally accepted that only large wall mirrors have supernatural powers, so if a small pocket mirror breaks, there is no need to worry.

Different mirrors can be used as magical attributes. They are used in sessions:

  • By expelling otherworldly entities;
  • Clairvoyance;
  • Removing curses, evil eye and damage.

Any mirror in the hands of an experienced magician gives access to the astral world. But an ordinary modern mirror is more difficult to use, as it generates noise and creates interference. In this regard, when performing a magical ritual, the magician will have to make more efforts and use more of his own energy. Therefore, professionals use special black mirrors for magical purposes. In the old days, they were made from black stone, polished to a mirror shine. Today, the technology for manufacturing these magical attributes has been greatly simplified. Ordinary glass is coated with a special dark mineral paint. Often ground powder from herbs and roots is added to the coloring composition, which enhances the magical properties of mirrors.

Today, many people like to decorate the interior of apartments and houses with mirrors. But, given that mirrors have certain magical properties, is it safe? The answer is clear: these interior items should be placed in certain places.

A mirror in the bathroom is absolutely safe. In this place a mirror is necessary. Due to the presence of water, negative energy practically does not accumulate in this object. It is imperative to hang a mirror in the corridor or hallway, since in this case this object will absorb most of the negativity that enters the apartment from the street. In the bedroom, the mirror should be installed in such a way that reflection in it is minimized. Moreover, under no circumstances should the sleeping place be reflected in the mirror.

Mirrors are absolutely inappropriate in the kitchen. According to the explanations of esotericists, the element of the mirror is Water, therefore its presence in close proximity to a given object enhances its positive magical properties. And, as you know, the kitchen is dominated by two elements: Water and fire, which in nature are opposing. Such inconsistency can lead to conflicts among household members and to their poor health.

Also, you should not install mirrors in the living room. This particular room is intended for receiving guests and there is absolutely no need for the mirror to accumulate negative energy from everyone who visited your house and remember it.

Location of mirrors

It has been proven that mirrors located in a certain way have a negative effect on a person’s psychoconsciousness.

Therefore, when installing them, you must listen to the following tips:

  • It is not recommended to install mirrors end to end, as in this case the reflection of a person may be cut into pieces;
  • To prevent the reflection from being distorted, it is recommended to install the mirror at a distance of at least 10 cm from the floor;
  • It is not recommended to install mirrors on doors. Since in this case their influence on the human psyche increases;
  • Mirrors should not be placed opposite, as reflection in them will create the illusion of infinite space, and this is very harmful to a person’s subconscious and can disrupt his psycho-emotional state.

You should know that a mirror installed in a living space must be periodically cleaned of negative energy.

To do this you initially need:

  • Wash the mirror with clean cold water, preferably drawn from a natural source;
  • Light a church candle and draw it along the contour of the object clockwise and counterclockwise;
  • Leave the candle to burn out in front of the mirror, so that it is reflected in it.

From a design point of view, a mirror is an object with which you can visually expand the space of a room. But when creating interiors, one should not forget that this is just an illusion. And as you know, any illusory effects cause tension in a person on an unconscious level. Therefore, it is unlikely that the atmosphere in a room for the decoration of which many mirrors were used can be considered favorable.

The mysterious properties of mirrors both attract and frighten. The principle of mirroring has not yet been solved. Therefore, even in our modern high-tech world, we experience an inexplicable mystical awe in front of mirrors.

A familiar object - a mirror - holds many secrets.

In the 80s of the last century in Sicily, one resident of Messina enjoyed terrible fame as a murderer. Seeing him, people immediately tried to turn into alleys: being careful not to become another victim. It was impossible to prosecute him or even bring charges against him. This man killed in a rather unusual way... with his gaze. And yet he could not escape punishment. Once he paused at a store window and peered at his reflection in the mirror for a long time... And this became the reason for his sudden death. At least, that's what the city residents insisted on. A victim of your own gaze?..

It’s hard to believe, but here’s a fact: for some reason, sorcerers and some psychics avoid looking in the mirror once again. What is the reason? Perhaps the German scientist Karl von Reichenbach was right, who back in the 19th century argued that rays emanating from the eyes (this energy has long been called “od”), reflected from a mirror, are capable of causing a serious blow to the health of those who sent them? Even today they say that a mirror can reflect not only visible reality, but also dangerous invisible energies. Superstition? And you conduct a simple experiment - control the TV using the remote control not directly, but through a mirror. Everything works out great - you can make sure that the mirror reflects rays that are invisible to the eye.

So, perhaps, a mirror can reflect more subtle energies, for example, the energies of a person’s feelings and emotions? Then our ancestors were not so “dark”, who hung a small mirror on their chest instead of a pendant. By the way, this kind of belief exists in the world and in our time. In Spain, for example, mirrors are attached to children's shoulders. It is believed that they reflect an envious and evil gaze and return it to the ill-wisher.

Customs are customs, but what does modern science say about this? Some scientists are confident that every object is surrounded by some kind of invisible field. Different scientists still call it differently, but everyone believes that it speaks of many “subtle” properties of the object. There is an opinion that in front of rough objects this field is “loose” and poorly reflects (but absorbs well) the energy falling on it. But for shiny objects, for example, mirrors, it is very dense. And it is so “smooth” that its surface (psi-surface) almost completely reflects subtle radiations. And not only the primary cosmic energy - prana, but also images of the invisible neighboring us, including psi-radiation generated by man: emotions, feelings, thoughts...

These incredible magical properties of mirrors have been used in the East since ancient times. They believe that very strong flows of prana in the house can suppress the energy of the residents, unbalance their body and even cause diseases. To combat these “energy drafts,” mirrors are widely used. So, for example, if the energy entering a house through the front door or window “accelerates” along a long corridor and “shoots” straight at a small room at its end (kitchen, bath, toilet...), then it is recommended to hang it on the door of such a room mirror from the outside.

To slow down the strong energy flow from the road leading into the house, a mirror is also installed in front of its entrance. Mirrors are also placed in the windows: to reflect “bad” energy from a bad neighbor or nearby “harmful” buildings: an industrial enterprise, a prison, a hospital... From the overwhelming effect of large structures, convex mirrors are used, reflecting these buildings in a distorted form and dissipating the energy...

Mirrors raise a lot of questions. Olga A. from Vyborg wrote: “We bought new furniture... And my grandmother said that the mirror should be removed from the bedroom, or the sores will torture me... I don’t know whether to believe this?” Maybe you should listen to your grandmother's advice.

It is believed that mirrors are capable of reflecting dangerous energies of the so-called. If the mirror is directed at the bed, then these energies, which are most active at night, will “irradiate” the sleeping people. Nightmares, chronic lack of sleep, weakness, fatigue are usually the result of this proximity. If it is not possible to rearrange the furniture, try to cover the mirror with something at night. This tradition exists in many countries.

And here is another option for protecting sleeping people using the magic of mirrors. In ancient times in China, small (necessarily round!) brass mirrors (with a shiny surface away from the sleeping person) were attached to the canopy of the bed or somewhere next to the bed. They believed that when they saw themselves in the mirror, they would get scared and run away. As you can see, this is not such a naive belief: today experts know well how radio waves are sometimes extinguished when a reflected signal comes directly towards them. It is possible that a similar thing happens with more subtle pathogenic energies (“evil spirits”) when their own reflection from the psi-surface of the mirror comes towards them.

These "neutralizing" properties of mirrors are useful for other purposes as well. Today, everyone has probably heard about the so-called, very dangerous to health. Often energy flows from underground (energy “pillars”) have a very small area - the size of a book, but are very concentrated. Therefore, it is important to arrange the furniture in the house so that the bed and other places where we can stay for a long time do not fall into the danger zone. But, unfortunately, in our small-sized rooms this is not always possible. And then the mirror comes to the rescue again. By placing it on the floor under the bed with the reflective surface down, you significantly reduce, and sometimes even get rid of, pathogenic radiation.

It is also recommended to stick foil crosses on the bottom of the bed, table, and chair. Such a brilliant cross not only reflects energy, but also, thanks to its shape, swirls and dissipates it. It’s worth doing this - and soon your sleep will improve, irritability will decrease...

However, mirrors are capable of neutralizing not only dangerous radiation from the bowels of the Earth, but also useful energy coming to us from Space. Perhaps this is why it has long been advised not to store a mirror with its shiny surface facing up?..

By the way, with the help of mirrors it is possible not only to reflect “bad” energies, but also to attract “good” ones. For example, when you are sick and cannot go out into nature, a mirror will help us not only recharge with external energy, but even heal a poorly functioning organ. It should be positioned so that fresh energy flows into it at approximately an angle of 45 degrees (from a window, from the sky, from a forest...). The reflected flow should be directed to the eyes (for general energy replenishment of the body) or to a diseased area of the body. However, be careful - this should not be done with organs in which the inflammatory process takes place: excess energy will further intensify it.

“I was told that through a mirror it is possible to recharge and heal yourself with your own energy. Is this so?..” (L. Vinogradova, Maykop).

Yes, but it's not that simple. The most important thing is to subtly feel the required distance from the mirror. After all, only in one place - a kind of focus - does a powerful amplifying effect appear. A little closer or further - and the mirror will begin to vampirize, draining your energy...

They guess this...

“Is it true that women age faster than men because they look in the mirror a lot?..” asks N. Grishina from Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

It may well be. At least, this is quite understandable from the standpoint of modern bioenergy. The fact is that our energy reflected from the mirror, usually, does not feed us, but partially neutralizes (quenches) and, as it were, “eats away” our protective aura from the front. So it turns out that the mirror plays the role of sucking out our energy. And the longer we admire ourselves in the mirror, the more we lose strength...

In Rus', mirrors were always treated with caution. It was believed that this “gift of the devil” could not only become “infected” with bad energy, but could also transmit it to other people. It was not for nothing that Ivan the Terrible demanded that mirrors for his wife Maria Nagaya be made only by blind craftsmen: to beware of the evil eye and damage that could come through the mirror... And according to Slavic tradition, women were forbidden to look in the mirror during menstruation, pregnancy and some time after childbirth . And in Germany, during the last period of pregnancy, mirrors were completely removed from the house...

Maybe these are not such superstitions after all? After all, mirrors not only reflect, but also partially absorb (and therefore remember) the energy falling on it. And our subconscious is influenced by information that was once “remembered” by the mirror. Need I say that we most often “charge” it with negative information? Agree, as a rule we look in the mirror to find and get rid of shortcomings. And we find: the hairstyle is wrong, the face is wrinkled, the clothes have begun to suspiciously tight-fit the figure... If we are unable to fix it, we leave dissatisfied. And the mirror remembered all our emotions and will “share” them next time...

To the recommendations of psychologists and cosmetologists (approach the mirror with a smile, look at it less often on “critical” days, when you are sick or overworked), we will add: you should not scold yourself in front of the mirror. “Offended”, it will “remember” everything... And one more thing. Before you leave him, smile and wish yourself success. A positive program strengthened and returned by the mirror can help relieve stress, lift your spirits, and set you up for good luck. After all, we put a program in the mirror, and it programs us...

Today there is every reason to believe that the mirror can actually “remember” and reproduce subtle energy information. And not only her... They say that a mirror, like a magnet, attracts and deposits toxic fumes on its surface. The famous mystic, doctor, and soothsayer of the Middle Ages (1493-1541) believed in this.

The same question was discussed by French scientists two centuries later. In one of the acts of the Paris Academy of Sciences for 1739, one can read the following: “When one old woman approached an absolutely clean mirror and spent more time in front of it than necessary, the mirror sucked up a large amount of her bad juices, which were collected and analyzed. Chemical studies have shown that they are very poisonous." And if this is so, then here is another reason why you should not approach the mirror during periods of illness: not only during illness, but even in a bad mood, a person’s skin secretes toxic substances. Not to mention breathing...

People's experience recommends wiping all the mirrors in the apartment with a damp cloth after the visit of a not-so-pleasant guest. Better yet, rinse them with “holy” or spring water. Water will not only wash away the chemical residue, but will also take away the negative emotions and thoughts of “well-wishers” that have not yet been deeply remembered in the mirror. And if you then move a lit candle in front of it, the “cleaning” effect will be even stronger...

“I read in the newspaper about the strange death of our famous figure skater Sergei Grinkov... In November 1995, on the ice of the Lake Placid training skating rink, his athletic, hardy heart suddenly gave out. However, what worried me most was that the day before his death, the mirror on his car broke. The fact is that there was a similar case in my family. The day before my mother died, the mirror in her room cracked for no apparent reason. At the time I thought it was a coincidence. And now I began to doubt…” (E.N. Ufimtseva, Moscow).

Yes, there is a belief that a broken mirror is a bad omen: either someone will die soon, or you yourself will have to live in poverty. They warn: even a cracked mirror should not be kept in the house. Superstition? Who knows…

But here’s the question: why does a mirror often crack spontaneously on the eve of the owner’s death? Much is still unclear here. For example, what is the cause and what is the effect. A cracked mirror leads to the death of a person (there is a belief that the one who first looks into a cracked mirror will die)? Or, on the contrary, as if “foreseeing” future death, the mirror cracks after the doomed person has looked into it (in some places it is believed that death awaits the one who last looked into the mirror before it cracked)? It is hardly worth unequivocally linking the death of the famous figure skater with the broken mirror on his car. Much is unknown: what kind of mirror it is, how often I looked at it, under what circumstances it broke... But as for the cracked mirror in my mother’s room, the picture is clearer. Many such cases have been recorded. And this is hardly a coincidence...

Today, many physicists are confident that any crack in a crystalline material, be it the earth’s crust or glass, is a source of very strong and sometimes dangerous radiation. The energy, repeatedly amplified by reflections from the walls of the crack and bursting out, has an exceptional impact. Essentially, this is an energy “blade” sticking out of a crack. Over cracks in the earth’s crust, heavy objects lose weight and rise upward; planes caught in the “beam” lose control, which leads to a plane crash, people develop mental disorders, illnesses...

It is possible that cracks in glass can also concentrate and “shoot” radiation hazardous to health. And, apparently, it is not without reason that in the East they say that broken window glass (even if the crack is covered with paper) entails diseases of the ears, eyes and nose of the residents of the house. Who knows, maybe motorists who continue to drive a car with a cracked glass should think about this “superstition”?

But the sharp and dangerous energy “blades” that stick out from the cracks can also be “infectious”. This especially applies to old mirrors, which have accumulated huge reserves of negative emotions and are freed from them through cracks. This is very dangerous radiation. Perhaps that is why breaking an old family mirror has always been considered a particularly bad sign? It is possible... However, there may be other explanations for this. For example, this: the mirror, like an old member of the family, helped its owners with its “native” radiations. Or it was a kind of window into another world, connecting those living on earth with their deceased ancestors. And then he was gone...

It may be that other factors also cause the pathogenic effect of a broken mirror. For example, the fact that chips and sharp corners emit concentrated streams of energy accumulated in the material. (It’s hardly a coincidence that the Chinese used exclusively round mirrors to protect sleeping people. Perhaps, when choosing a new mirror in a store, it’s better for us to pay attention to a round or oval one?) But there is another surprising effect of sharp corners: as we recently found out, they distort near themselves field of time! And if this is so, then the fragments of a broken mirror are doubly dangerous! Who knows how the body will react to them: by rapid aging of biological cells or, on the contrary, by a slowdown in metabolic processes?..

Questions, questions... Much is not clear yet. In any case, it is better to get rid of cracked and broken mirrors as soon as possible. How? Briefly about this... Use a wet broom (not a mop!) to notice the fragments and take them out of the house as quickly as possible...

A strange custom exists almost all over the world: hanging mirrors or turning them towards the wall in front of the dead. It is so firmly rooted in the tradition of our people that even in the era of militant atheism, during the funerals of senior statesmen, mirrors were removed from the premises or covered with black cloth. This custom is explained in different ways. But it is almost always said that the mirror is a kind of door into, through which souls can pass in both one and the other direction. Some claim that through the “open window” the soul of the deceased can drag someone close to him “there”, into another world: wait for a new death.

Others believe that the thirst for life of the deceased can lead to the fact that he will come to us from the “other world” through a mirror and remain restless - a poltergeist. Still others say that while the dead person is in the house and the “window” from another world is “ajar,” dangerous souls, including other people’s restless souls, can enter our home. And this allegedly may be the cause of some mental illnesses of family members (associated, for example, with split personality) and even the repression (replacement) of the soul.

Where do such beliefs come from? Some of them, I think, are echoes of some real, but not correctly understood events. For example, every now and then they say that in the house of a deceased, in an uncurtained mirror, they saw the figure of the deceased: either going somewhere “deep,” or, on the contrary, looking as if from “through the looking glass.” This can be explained, for example, by the fact that the astral body of the deceased was reflected from the psi-surface of the mirror and became visible, which, as is known, has been next to the deceased for quite a long time. But there may be another reason for the “vision”. Some researchers believe that under certain lighting, the once “remembered” physical appearance of the owner of the mirror can “reveal” and become visible to an outside observer.

There is a popular belief that the soul of a dead person can enter an uncurtained mirror and remain trapped there forever. Moreover, they warn: if you receive such a mirror as a gift or buy it, the consequences can be quite tragic. Up to bringing a curse on the whole family. They tell you how to recognize such mirrors: they are very cold to the touch and church candles go out in front of them. And that no amount of “cleaning” of such mirrors helps: they are advised to simply break them and thereby free the soul of a once deceased person imprisoned in them.

I have a hard time believing in the souls of the dead stuck in mirrors. But the fact that some mirrors have extremely strong negative energy seems to be a reality. This is especially true for old mirrors that remember the negative emotions of quarrels, scenes of violence, and even more so murders that took place in front of them. It is believed that such mirrors can greatly influence a person’s psyche and even change his character. They are especially dangerous for children: nightmares, someone else's memories will haunt them... And then you should think carefully before taking into the house a mirror left behind by the dead. And even more so, you need to be careful when buying an antique mirror whose history is unknown. But if you are “lucky” and the candles go out in front of your mirror, take it away from the house and break it...

The history of mirrors is no less interesting than the history of the Ancient World, from the Beginning of Time to our Epoch. There was a time when only priests and magicians could engage in the technology of making mirrors. Later, this craft lost its mystical feature, but the mirrors themselves retained the glory of mysterious magical accessories.

There are many sinister signs and many strange beliefs associated with mirrors.

But not all of them are true. Let's figure out together what is so special about mirrors and should we be afraid of their power?

Is a mirror a door to other worlds?

In the history of almost all peoples, no matter what geographical distance separates them, the concept of doors to other worlds is associated with a mirror. Reflective surfaces were used:

  • magicians;
  • psychics;
  • witches;
  • parapsychologists;
  • non-traditional healers;
  • priests.

Where did such beliefs come from among different nationalities in different parts of the world? What caused this attitude towards reflective surfaces and is it worth believing in it?

Let's look at the facts of history

The first officially recorded facts that reflection has not only a domestic purpose, but also an ominous side, came in the last century of the 20th century. So, at the beginning of 1910, in the western part of France, in one of the most guarded warehouses, an antique mirror was kept under arrest for double murder. The peculiarity of this accessory is that the shiny surface was enclosed in a frame with the inscription “Louis Arpo, 1743”. For some reason inexplicable to the scientific world, this frame prevented the mirror from breaking. The most unusual and inexplicable thing was the fact that the accessory could not be destroyed.

Its surface did not break, the frame did not burn, and even when they tried to drown this mirror, it was somehow released from the packaging and simply floated to the surface.

Rumors that the reflective surface did not break and the frame did not burn were exaggerated, but the fact remains: the accessory was under arrest under a verdict of premeditated murder of its owners.

The reason for such a strange verdict was the fact that two owners of the mirror, after acquiring it, very quickly went to their forefathers with the same posthumous diagnosis - instant death from cerebral hemorrhage.

This mirror is included in the worldwide list of the World's Cursed Things.

How scientists explained it

What’s most interesting is that scientists have not refuted the fact that this accessory from Louis Arpo could have caused the death of its owners. But they couldn’t say exactly what exactly provoked the murder. Some said that the antique frame emitted an aroma, which caused hemorrhage, others insisted that the matter was in the poor-quality reflective surface, which at some point did not refract the sun's rays properly and provoked disturbances in the brain activity of the victims, as a result of which the death.

How did parapsychology explain it?

Parapsychologists were not so clear and they did not recognize any evaporations or refractions of light. The hereditary magician explained this phenomenon by the fact that the spirit of a deceased person found its refuge in the reflective surface of this mirror. The spirit, its sudden appearance, created such a powerful energy blow that the natural energy protection of the person looking in the mirror at that moment was simply blown to pieces. What is the cause of sudden death of the physical body. The soul of a person killed in such a blasphemous way would forever be locked in an ancient mirror. But there is one nuance in the explanation: the mirror did not kill everyone, but took away the life force only from those who deserved it through their everyday deeds.

Mirror as a storage device for heavy energy

One of the oddities of the mirror is that it is capable of accumulating heavy energy. Oddly enough, the mirror simply reflects everything that is good and bright in the world, and only lets in the evil, scary and negative. This is a feature of mirrors. This is a rather creepy feature, but quite understandable. The thing is that at the moment of deep shock, severe stress, a person throws out a colossal charge of energy.

Just think, a person, even at the moment of the most boundless happiness or the peak of fun, throws out 1/60th of what his body produces at the moment of feeling pain from a cut finger.

It is clear that a mirror, as an energy storage device, is more likely to absorb precisely the moment of a negative emission than all the good and bright moments that are reflected in it.

What is most interesting is that modern mirrors do not have the same memory and accumulation power as ancient ones (although they have a tendency). And the point here is not at all about their age. The thing is that in the old days the reflective surface of mirrors was made with an admixture of silver, and it has long been no secret that this metal has both cleansing and accumulating properties; silver itself is a strong conductor.

The mirror is a haven for the restless spirit

Among all the beliefs associated with mirrors in different countries, there is one thing in common - to curtain the reflective surface if there is a dead person in the house. The existence of the soul has long been proven by scientists. There are facts confirming the fact that at the moment of death a special clot of energy, a special substance, is released from a person’s body, which, according to assumptions, is a kind of accumulator, keeper and transporter of information that a person has collected throughout his life. The soul exists and this is a fact.

But there is also behavior of the soul, the very behavior that the soul takes out of the body. If we trace all the stories about the exit of the soul from the body at the moment of physical death, we can conclude that it has human memory, as well as some features of perception of the world. One of the features is panic and fear, a lack of understanding of one’s status and one’s new position. It is at such moments that the soul enters the mirror, because the soul is energy, a more concentrated clot of energy than the energy flows of our world.

And as we have already found out, especially old mirrors are prone to energy accumulation. There is an energy clot of a soul, and within its reach there is a vessel for storing energy - that same mirror. What will happen? This is how the energy will enter the vessel. The vessel will draw it in and not always voluntarily.

And then everything depends on the situation at the time of the person’s death. If at the moment of death the soul did not receive a charge of negativity, that is, stress, if it was not murder, non-violent death or departure was not accompanied by torment, the memory of the soul will be relatively pure and will not carry aggression. And therefore, reflecting its energy, which already exists in an image, the soul does not transmit anger and hatred or pain into our world, and as a result, our natural defense filters this information and simply reflects it.

The peculiarity is that the soul tends to look for a place in the world, this has always been and will be. This cannot be explained in simple words, but I will try. We have all read or heard that there is a transmigration of souls. This is a fact and proven. That is, the soul, at the moment of leaving the body, seeks refuge for itself and finds it in another body. But not at the moment of birth, but at the moment of conception.

In the phenomenon of the soul’s penetration into a mirror, there are a lot of “If...”: If, at the moment of exit, the soul does not find a passage into the stream that will take it to another body, it inhabits not the human embryo, but the mirror. And if a situation arises that at the moment of death the soul experiences stress, it will automatically enter this information into the mirror and broadcast it into our world. This is the same memory of the soul. Another nuance concerns the fact that the soul, lost in the mirror plane, left the body under relatively calm circumstances, but, its memory stores some kind of terrible stress, the mirror can also broadcast a picture of this incident into our world as a picture in a reflective surface.

The magic of mirrors

The magic of mirrors was known back in ancient times. If you trace the history of the Slavic people, you can see how fortune-telling rituals were carried out and predictions were made with the help of mirrors.

Many novice practitioners are interested in the question of safety or risk when using mirrors in magic. As we have already figured out, a mirror is a storage device, as well as a means of transporting energy. It can be used in fortune telling rituals or for other magical purposes, but you should follow the rules for choosing an accessory. It is better to give preference to a new mirror; if there is none, perform a ritual of cleansing this accessory, and also protect yourself from an accidental energy strike.

In the process of fortune telling, a mirror can show not only the future, but also the past or present. Flows of energy that are responsible for our life, destiny or future easily circulate in space and pass through the mirror, sometimes refracted in it, and sometimes enter one reflective surface in one room, and come out of the mirror in another room. It is quite difficult to explain this phenomenon even in the language of magicians, and I would not advise you to delve into the search for an answer, since there are things that should be inaccessible to this world.
