POLYTHEISM

Prepared by: Nail abu Salih

Shirk is the greatest sin.

1 - The danger of shirk.
Truly, shirk is the greatest injustice, the lowest point of ignorance, therefore all the messengers and prophets began their call with true monotheism. But true monotheism is something that contradicts shirk. And they condemned nothing as much as they condemned shirk. For the greatest threats that we can find in the Quran or in the Sunnah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are threats against those who commit shirk. Allah says in His book: Verily, Allah does not forgive when partners are associated with Him, but He forgives all other (or less serious) sins to whom He wishes. Whoever associates partners with Allah commits a great sin. (Surah an-Nisa, verse 48)
Also: Verily, whoever associates partners with Allah, He has forbidden Paradise. Gehenna will be his refuge, and the wicked will have no helpers. (Surah al-Maida, verse 72)
Look what the Almighty said about the best people. Look what He said about the messengers: But if they had included partners, then everything they did would have been in vain. (Surah al-An'am, verse 88)
Look at what the Almighty said to His best creation, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): It has already been instilled in you and your predecessors: “If you begin to associate partners, then your deeds will be in vain and you will certainly find yourself one of the losers.” Worship Allah alone and be among the grateful. (Surah az-Zumar, verse 65-66)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) warned us about the danger of shirk, as cited in the collection of Imam Bukhari. It is reported that ‘Abdullah ibn Masud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “(Once) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “He who died worshiping anything along with Allah will enter the fire.” and I said: “The one who died without worshiping anything along with Allah will enter paradise.” Bukhari, 1238.
It is narrated from the words of Jabir ibn Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever dies without associating partners with Allah will enter Paradise. And whoever dies without associating partners with Allah will enter the Fire.” Muslim, 93.
It is reported that Mu'az ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
Once, when I was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and we were separated from each other only by the back of the saddle, he said: "Oh Mu'az ibn Jabal!" I responded: "Oh Mu'az ibn Jabal!" I responded: “I am here, O Messenger of Allah, and I am happy to serve you!” After a while he said again: "Oh Mu'az ibn Jabal!" I responded: “I am here, O Messenger of Allah, and I am happy to serve you!” Then he asked me: “Do you know what right of Allah His servants must observe?” I said: “Allah and His Messenger know this best” . Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Verily, Allah has the right that His slaves worship only Him and nothing else.” After a while he said again: "Oh Mu'az ibn Jabal!" I responded: “I am here, O Messenger of Allah, and I am happy to serve you!” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked: “Do you know what slaves have the right to expect from Allah if they do this?” I said: “Allah and His Messenger know this best.” Then he said: “That He will not subject them to torment.” Muslim 30.
According to Abu Dharra, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Jibril came to me and gave me good news. Truly, whoever from my community died and did not associate partners with Allah will enter Paradise.” The Companion asked: "Even if he was an adulterer and stole?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "Even if he was an adulterer and stole!" Bukhari, 3222; Muslim, 94.
Said ibn Musaib reported from the words of his father that when Abu Talib was dying, the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed to him. Abu Jahl and Abdullah ibn abu Umeya ibn al-Mughira were there. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Uncle, say: La ilaha illallah,” and truly because of these words I will be able to intercede for you on the Day of Judgment.” Abu Jahl and Abdullah ibn Abu Umayya said: "O Abu Talib, are you abandoning the religion of your father Abdul Muttalib?" Abu Talib replied: "No, I am on the religion of Abdul Muttalib." And he refused to say “La ilaha illa Allah.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I swear by Allah, I will certainly ask for forgiveness for you." And Allah revealed the verses: It is not appropriate for the Prophet and the believers to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they are relatives, after it has become clear to them that they will be the inhabitants of Hell. (Surah at-Tawbah, verse 113) Bukhari, 1360.

2 - How did shirk appear?
It is known that the first manifestations of shirk were among the people of the prophet Nuh, as Ibn Abbas said that there were ten centuries between Nuh and Adam. Over the course of these centuries, people professed true monotheism, but there were still lapses in deeds. But among them there were righteous people who admonished and reminded.
The collection of Imam al-Bukhari tells about the righteous people Wadd, Suwa "a, Yagus, Ya"uk, Nasr. When they died, Satan came to the people with the words: “Establish monuments to them, because they were great people. They stopped you when you did bad things and called you to do better. Erect monuments to them, and seeing these monuments, you will remember their righteousness and try to be like them.”
And they erected monuments to them. Years have passed, centuries have passed. Those who knew why monuments were erected to these people died. And again the shaitan came to the people with the words: “Truly, these monuments were deities for your fathers, do not abandon the religion of your fathers, worship them the same way as your fathers worshiped.”
And people began to worship these monuments. And Allah wanted to lead these people out of the darkness of shirk to the light of monotheism. He sent Nuh to them, who urged them to leave idols and worship Allah alone. He called day and night, covertly and openly. However, they disobeyed, became proud and said: “Do not renounce your gods: Wadda, Suwaa, Yagusa, Yauk and Nasr.” (Surah Nuh, verse 23)
And Nuh called on the Lord: "God! Do not leave a single unbeliever on earth! (Surah Nuh, verse 26)
And Allah answered Nuh’s call. Allah destroyed those who disbelieved.
And when Our command came and the furnace burst into floods, We said: “Immerse on it a couple from each species and your family, except those about whom the Word has already been spoken, and also those who believe.” But only a few believed with him. He said, “Get on it! With the name of Allah he will swim and stop. Verily, my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.” The ark floated with them over waves like mountains, and Nuh (Noah) called out to his son, who stood alone on the side: “My son! Sit with us and do not remain with the unbelievers.” He said: “I will hide on a mountain that will save me from the water.” He said: “Today no one will save from the will of Allah unless He has mercy.” Then a wave separated them, and he was among those drowned. And it was said: “O earth, swallow your water! Oh heaven, stop it! The water subsided and the decree was fulfilled. The Ark landed on al-Judi, and it was said: “Let the unjust people perish!” (Surah Hud, verse 40-44)
Then years passed and shirk appeared among the people of Hell. They began to worship another along with Allah. Allah sent Hud to them, who called: “O my people! Worship Allah, for you have no other deity (worthy of worship) except Him. (Surah Hud, verse 50)
The people of Hud became proud and disobeyed the messenger. Allah sent a wind that destroyed them.
Next were the Samudians. Allah sent Salih to them. He called on his people day and night, hidden and open. He called on them to worship Allah alone, but they became proud and Allah destroyed them with noise.
And the people of Ibrahim could not avoid this. They began to worship idols, planets, the moon, the sun. Allah had mercy on them and sent Ibrahim to them, whom he endowed with righteous offspring. After all, all the other prophets and messengers are from the son of Ibrahim, Ishaq. And from the offspring, the second son of Ibrahim, Ismail, Allah brought out the best of the messengers - the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Then the children of Israel, some of them began to worship the calf, and Musa and Harun forbade them to do so, and some of them forbade Uzeir, calling him the son of God.
And then Christians appeared, many of whom began to worship Jesus. And shirk reached the Arabs because of a man whose name was Amr ibn Luhay al-Khuzai, may Allah humiliate him.
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I saw Amr ibn Luhay al-Khuzai in the Fire, dragging his guts." Bukhari, 3521. And also the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He is the first to change the religion of Ibrahim." See Sahih al-Jami, 2580.
He was the first to bring idols to the Arab peninsula. After this, the idols became more and more numerous. They began to be installed near the Kaaba, around it and inside it. People completely abandoned monotheism and switched to worshiping stones.
It is narrated from Abu Raja al-Ataridi who said: “In times of ignorance, we worshiped stones. If we found a stone better than the first, then we left the old stone and began to worship a new one. And if there was no stone at all, then we made a mound of sand, brought a sheep and milked it on this mound. After that, we made a round (tauaf) around this mound." Bukhari, 4376.
And when Allah wanted to guide the people of that time on the straight path, He sent to them the imam of the monotheists, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with the appeal: “Worship Allah alone; you have no other deity (worthy of worship). After all, only He is worthy of worship. And what you worship does not hear or see, and cannot help in any way.”
And there were those among the people who became proud and did not follow with the words: “Has he really turned the gods into the Only God? Truly, this is something amazing!” (Surah Sod, verse 5)
Then they began to hinder in every possible way the call of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions. However, this did not add anything to the infidels, but on the contrary, the companions felt a taste of faith, became more sincere in their call and realized that they must endure, and victory will come, people will begin to join the religion of Allah in droves. And monotheism rose above other religions.
But over time, many disagreements began to remove people step by step from the truth of monotheism. Shirk began to spread with renewed vigor. And even Muslims could not avoid this, with the exception of those on whom Allah had mercy. And now shirk manifests itself not only in the form of worshiping a stone, but it also manifests itself during the performance of many religious injunctions, when they are dedicated to someone other than Allah. It is enough to go out into the street and look at the ignorant Muslims, and we will see how the sick person asks not for Allah, but for some saint. And we will see how the sacrificer brings it not to Allah, but to some saint. And we will see how Muslims ask for blessings (barakat) not from Allah, but from saints. And this is a problem for each of us, since we are monotheists, and it is our duty to bring the light of true monotheism to people.

3 - Types of shirk.
Shirk comes in two types: large and small.
Big Shirk - this is equating someone or something with Allah, no matter how it manifests itself. The Almighty told us that in the Fire the polytheists say to those whom they equate with Allah: “We swear by Allah, we were in obvious error when we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.” (Sura al-Shu’ara, verse 97-98)
The polytheists believed that someone other than Allah could help them. They called out to the dead and idols for help. They thought that someone other than Allah could harm them. They asked blessings from trees and stones. They sacrificed not to Allah, but to saints and idols.
One day, while on a train, I was talking to people about religion. I told them about the shirk that was common among the Arabs before Islam. I told how people went and asked blessings from trees and stones, made sacrifices to saints and idols. I talked about how men tied up their beards, fearing damage, and women wore amulets, fearing the evil eye. And one man said to me: “Don’t Muslims do this?” And I fell silent... What could I say? What can I say when hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Asia travel to Turkestan to ask for blessings from the saints? They sacrifice to saints and not to Allah. What can I say when thousands of Muslims of Tatarstan go to Bulgar to ask for blessings from those souls who once lived in this place? What can I say when thousands of Caucasian Muslims go to the graves of their sheikhs and ask for their intercession on the Day of Judgment? What can I say when a Muslim wears an amulet around his neck, fearing the evil eye or damage? And I urge every Muslim to come to his senses, because only Allah is worthy of all this. Only He can protect! Only He can help! Only He can answer!
It is reported that Imran ibn Husayn said: “Once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saw a man with a yellow ring on his hand and asked him: "What it is?" He replied: “I wear it so that weakness does not overtake me” . Then he said: “Take it off immediately, for it only increases your weakness. If you die with this ring on your hand, you will never succeed." This hadith was narrated by Ahmad with a good chain of narrators. There is disagreement regarding the authenticity of this hadith. Al-Hakim considered it reliable, and Imam Zahabi agreed with him. Sheikh Albani called the hadith unreliable.
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Whoever hangs an amulet on himself has associated his companions with Allah.” Ahmad 4/156, Al-Hakim 4/417.
Abu Waqid al-Laysi said: “Once, together with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we went on a campaign to Hunayn. At that time we were still Muslim converts who had recently renounced kufr, and the Mushriks had a tree near which they gathered for their rituals, hanging their weapons on it, and which they called “Zat Anuat”. So, when we drove past this tree, we said: “O Messenger of Allah, make Zat Anuat for us the same as theirs.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah is Great! These are all customs of the past! I swear by the One to whom my soul belongs, you have asked the same thing that the children of Israel asked of Musa:““Make us a deity, the same as theirs.” He said: “Verily, you are an ignorant people!” (Surah al-A'raf 7:138). Verily, you are following the customs of those who came before you!” Ahmad 5/218, at-Tirmidhi 2181. Imam at-Tirmidhi and Sheikh al-Albani confirmed the authenticity of the hadith.
Ali is reported to have said: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, told me four things: “May Allah curse the one who sacrificed not to Him! May Allah curse the one who cursed his parents! May Allah curse the one who provided shelter for the heretic! May Allah curse the one who changed the boundaries of the division of the land!” Muslim, 1978.
Imam Ahmad reports a hadith that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Because of a fly, one person entered Paradise, and another entered Fire.” People asked: “How so, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “Once two people passing through fell into a tribe of pagans, whose idol could not be passed until a sacrifice was made to it. And the idolaters said to one of the travelers: “Sacrifice something.” “I don’t have anything that can be sacrificed,” he replied. Then sacrifice at least a fly,” said the polytheists. And when he sacrificed a fly, he was allowed to continue his journey, and the man entered the fire. Then the idolaters said to another traveler: “Sacrifice something.” To which the second traveler replied: “I sacrifice only to Allah.” They cut off his head and he entered Paradise.” Ahmad "Az Zuhd", according to Tariq bin Shihab.
In fact, this hadith is transmitted from the companion Salman al-Farisi, and not the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and Imam Ahmad himself cites it from him, but not in the book “al-Musnad”, as some believe , and in the book “al-Zuhd” No. 84.
Also, this message from Salman al-Farisi is given by Ibn Abi Shayba 12/358, Abu Nu'aym in al-Hilya 1/203, al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-iman 7343, etc.
And from Salman this message is reliable, Sheikh al-Albani and Sheikh Abdul-Qadir al-Arnaout called it reliable.
Therefore, anyone who equates someone or something with Allah Almighty in love, fear, hope, exaltation, sacrifice, he has committed great shirk, about which Allah said: Verily, Allah does not forgive when partners are associated with Him, but He forgives all other (or less serious) sins to whomever he wishes. (Surah an-Nisa, verse 48)

The second type of shirk is small shirk. Its manifestations include: showing off, swearing not by Allah, words: "Allah wanted so and so."
Mahmud ibn Labid reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Indeed, what I fear most for you is the small shirk.” We asked: “What is small shirk, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: "Show off." Ahmad in Musnad, (5/428)
At-Tirmidhi and ibn Hibban cite a hadith from al-Walid ibn abi al-Walid, from 'Uthman ibn Muslim, from 'Uqbat ibn Amir, Shafi'i al-Asbahi said that once arriving in Medina, he met people who had gathered around one person. "Who is this man?" - asked Shafi'i. "Abu Hurayrah!" - they answered him. Shafi'i moved to Abu Hurayrah and sat opposite him. When Abu Huraira finished speaking, Shafi'i asked him: “O Abu Huraira! Tell me the hadith that you learned and understood!” Abu Hurayrah said: “I will definitely do this, I will definitely tell you the hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which I learned and understood.” Then Abu Huraira began to tremble, breathe heavily and sob. He did not remain in this state for long. After which he was overcome by calm. And it was clear that the cause of fear of the Almighty was fear of the horror that will be discussed in the hadith. Then Abu Hurayrah woke up and said: “ I will definitely tell you the hadith that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me and then there was no one but me, only me and the prophet.” And again Abu Huraira began to breathe heavily, tremble and sob. When he woke up, he rubbed his face with his hands and said: “I will definitely tell you the hadith that the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me, just me and him, and no one was with us.” And for the third time Abu Huraira fell into an unusual state, and waking up, he said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me: “On the Day of Judgment Allah will gather His servants for reckoning. All people are kneeling from the horrors of this day. And the first one who will be called for calculation is the man who taught the Koran; the second is the owner of a large fortune; and the third is killed in the path of Allah. The Almighty will say to the one who taught and read the Koran: "Tell! Haven’t I taught you what I sent down to My messenger?” He will answer: “Yes, O Lord! You taught me the Koran." And Allah will say: “Have you taken advantage of what We taught you?” The reader will say: "Yes. Whole days and nights I read the Koran and taught it to others for Your sake.” The Lord will say: "You are lying". The angels will say: "You are lying! You taught the Koran so that people would say: “Reciter.” Then the owner of a large fortune will be brought. Allah will tell him: “Didn’t I give you all this?” He will answer: "Yes, O Lord" , “What did you do in return?” The person will say: “I gave alms to the needy, I helped for Your sake.” Allah will say: "You are lying!" The angels will say: "You are lying! You wanted people to say you were generous.” Then they will bring the person killed in the path of Allah and the Almighty will ask him: "Why were you killed?" The warrior will say: “I was ordered to fight in Your path, and I fought for You until I was killed.” The Lord will say: "You are lying!". The angels will say: "You are lying! You fought so that people would say about you: “Hero.” Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) struck Abu Huraira on the knees and said: “O Abu Huraira! These three are the first creatures of Allah to enter the fire. These three, those who were engaged in showing off, they will be the first to enter the fire.”
Kuteyla said: “One day a Jew came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: “You associate partners with Allah when you say: “This is what Allah and you willed!” and when you say: “I swear by the Kaaba!” Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded that when taking oaths, people should say: “I swear by the Lord of the Kaaba!” and so that they say: “Allah willed it, and then you.” This hadith was reported by an-Nasai and called it authentic, Ahmad 6/371 and 372, an-Nasai 7/6.
It is reported that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Whoever swears by something other than Allah has fallen into disbelief or has associated partners with Allah.” Ahmad 2/69, 87 and 125, at-Tirmidhi (1535).
And before we end the conversation, let us remind you of the rewards with which the monotheist will be delighted.

4 - The superiority of those who profess true Monotheism.
Imam al-Bukhari and Muslim reported from Ubadah ibn Summit that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who testified that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, and Isa is Allah's servant and His messenger. And the word to Mary and the spirit from Him. And that Paradise is the truth, and Hell is the truth, Allah will lead him to Paradise according to what happened to him." Or as in another version: “There will be eight doors of Paradise before him, and Allah will lead him through the one he wishes.” Muslim, 28.
Also, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily, Allah forbade the one who testified that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah to touch the Fire, desiring the face of his Lord.” Bukhari, 5401.
From 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr it is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, one person from my community will be called before all creation, and ninety-nine books of sins will be unfolded before him, each of which cannot be seen. . Then he will be asked: “Do you deny any of this? Did the two scribes (angels) treat you unfairly?” He will answer: “No, O Lord!” He will be asked: “Do you have an excuse or a good cause?” This person will be confused and say: “No, O Lord!” Then they will tell him: "Eat! We have one good deed of yours, and you will not be treated unfairly today!” Then they will present him with a piece of paper with the words “Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu uarasyulyuh.” Then he will say: “Oh Lord! What does this piece of paper weigh in comparison with these books?!” They will tell him: “Today you will not be treated unfairly.” Then they will place the books on one pan of the scale, and the leaf on the other, and the books will turn out to be light, and the leaf will be heavy. And nothing can be heavy next to the name of Allah!” at-Tirmidhi 2639, Ibn Majah 4300, Ahmad 4/213, al-Hakim 1/5. The authenticity of the hadith was confirmed by Imam Abu Isa at-Tirmizi, al-Hakim, Hafiz al-Zahabi and Sheikh al-Albani.

Peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, his family and his companions.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!

Abu Yahya - What is Shirk
Reading the book "Masa" il-jahiliyya by Sheikhul-Islam Muhammad ibn "Abdul-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him) with explanations from Sheikh Salih ibn Fawzan ibn "Abdillah al-Fawzan (may Allah protect him) and Sheikh Salih ibn "Abd al- "Aziz Ali Sheikh (may Allah protect him).

and so on.

in business
Rings, ropes to ward off troubles.

2. HIDDEN SHIRK
- Performing some religious acts for show.
- Performing some religious acts for the sake of worldly interests.

Question #26288: Does Allah forgive shirk?

How can we explain the difference in the verses: “Verily, Allah does not forgive when partners are associated with Him, but He forgives all other (or less serious) sins to whom He wishes. Whoever associates partners with Allah commits a great sin.” (4:48) and “Verily, I forgive those who repent, believe, act righteously, and then follow the straight path” (20:82). Is there a contradiction?

All praise be to Allah.
There is no contradiction in these verses. The first verse speaks of those who have already died with shirk, without repentance for it. He will not be forgiven, and his punishment will be Hell, as Allah said (translation of the meaning): “Those who say: “Allah is the third in the trinity” do not believe.” There is no deity but the One God! If they do not renounce what they say, then those who disbelieve among them will suffer painful suffering.” (5:72) “This is the guidance of Allah, by which He guides those of His servants whom He will. But if they had joined partners, then everything they did would have become in vain.” (6:88). And there are many similar verses.
The second verse - “Verily, I forgive those who repent, believe, act righteously, and then follow the straight path” (20:82) refers to those who repent. Allah also says: “Say to My servants who have overindulged to their own detriment: “Do not despair of Allah’s mercy. Verily, Allah forgives all sins, for He is Forgiving, Merciful.” (39:53). Scholars agree that these verses refer to those who repented.
And Allah is the source of strength.

Sacrifice not to Allah

Salih Ali ash-Shaykh رحمه الله said:

There are 4 positions:

A person makes a sacrifice in the Name of Allah for the sake of Allah. This is muwwahid.
A person makes a sacrifice in the Name of Allah, but not for the sake of Allah. This is shirk in Ulugiyi.
A person makes a sacrifice not in the Name of Allah and not for the sake of Allah. This is double shirk.
A person makes a sacrifice not in the Name of Allah, but for the sake of Allah. This is shirk in rabbubiyi.

Sheikh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: “And if someone slaughters not in the name of Allah, or for someone other than Allah, then it is forbidden to eat, and he becomes a kafir because of this” “Iqtida’u syratal mustaqim”, 131\

Dua is not to Allah

The Messenger of Allah also said: “Whoever dies and during his lifetime he made dua to someone other than Allah, he will be in the Fire.” (Reported by Bukhari 4137)

It is also narrated in two Sahihs that they asked the Messenger of Allah which sin was the heaviest of all, and he said: “To make an object for invocation along with Allah, while He created you.” (Bukhari 417, Musli 124 and others)

Amulets

The Standing Committee scholars said:

“Scholars agree that it is haraam to wear amulets if they are made from anything other than the Quran, but they disagree about those made from the Quran. Some said it was allowed to be worn, some said it was not. It is more correct that this is not permitted, because of the general meaning of the hadith, and to prevent what leads to shirk.” Fatawa al-Lajna al-Daimah, 1:212

Hidden Fear

This is the fear of the grave or the person resting in it, or an idol, or a saint, etc. And the reason for it is the fear that they will bring trouble, illness, poverty, misfortune or death and the like, whenever they wish.
The Almighty said, ordering His slaves to experience such fear only before Him:
“It’s just Shaitan who is scaring you with his helpers. Do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are believers” (Ali ‘Imran, 175).
And the Almighty said: “Do not be afraid of people” (al-Maida, 44).
And He said: “...and only fear Me!” (an - Nahl, 51).
It is written in At-Taysir: “Whoever associates Allah with a partner, fearing Him with this type of fear, commits shirk.”

Oath not by Allah

It is reported from the words of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
Verily, Allah the Almighty forbids you to swear by your ancestors, and whoever (wants) to swear, let him swear by Allah or remain silent. (Al-Bukhari; Muslim)
Words related to minor polytheism can be the oaths of a person who swears by something other than Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “He who swears by something other than Allah has fallen into disbelief and polytheism” (This hadith was reported by at-Tirmidhi).

Imam Ibn Qudama said: “It is not permitted to establish places of worship on graves, since the Prophet said: “Allah cursed the Jews and Christians, they took the graves of their Prophets with mosques - beware of what they did!” And also because marking graves with prayer near them is likened to the exaltation of idols by their sujud, and by approaching them, and it was conveyed to us that the beginning of the worship of idols was the exaltation of the dead, by creating their images, and rubbing on them, and praying to them.” See Al-Mughni, 2-388

Imam Ibn Abdul Hadi said: “The basis of shirk and idol worship in previous Ummahs is falling into fitnah through graves and their exaltation” see “As-Sarim al-munki”, 1-309

POLYTHEISM

Praise be to Allah, Whom we praise and to Whom we cry for help and forgiveness. We seek protection from Allah from the evil of our souls and bad deeds. Whoever Allah guides on the straight path, no one can lead astray. And whomever He leaves, no one will guide him to the straight path. We testify that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah alone, and we testify that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His messenger.

Is there a deed that Allah does not forgive without repentance?
Is there a deed that makes Paradise forbidden to the one who does it?
Is there a deed that puts the one who does it into the fire forever?
Is there a deed that turns all good deeds into dust?
Is there a deed by which a person insults Allah, the Lord of the Worlds?
Yes, it exists! And this is likening creatures to the Creator or assigning partners to Allah (shirk). This is what many Muslims do these days.

Allah speaks in His

The Holy Qur'an contains 114 suras and 6666 verses and is divided into 30 approximately equal parts (juz), each of which has its own name. The last part of the Qur'an has the largest number of suras - 37, but they are short, and therefore the study of the Qur'an often begins with this juz, which is called “Amma”.

Sura 78 An-Naba

This surah consists of 40 verses. According to the unanimous conclusion of all Muslim scholars, all of them were revealed in Mecca.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

[We start] with the name Allaha - Merciful for everyone in this world and only for believers in the Next World.

عَمَّ يَتَسَاءلُونَ ﴿١﴾

  1. What are they asking each other?

This verse was revealed when the Prophet Muhammad received the Revelation, and the unbelievers began to ask each other: “What is he calling for?” and argue among themselves. Imam An-Nasafi in his tafsir gave another interpretation of this verse: “The unbelievers mockingly asked about resurrection after death.”

عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ ﴿٢﴾

  1. About the great news

They asked each other about the Revelation that the Prophet had received, about what he called for, about the Qur'an, the resurrection of the dead and the Day of Judgment.

الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ﴿٣﴾

  1. ABOUT which they have different opinions

Some disbelievers denied that there would be a resurrection of the dead (Judgment Day), while others doubted it.Another interpretation says that the Muslims confirmed that there would be a Day of Judgment, and the disbelievers denied it.

كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾

  1. But no! They'll soon find out!

This is an answer to the unbelievers who denied the resurrection and the Day of Judgment, and a warning about the punishment that is in store for them.

Imam An-Nasafi wrote in the tafsir of this verse that the disbelievers will be convinced with their own eyes of the truth of what they rejected.

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٥﴾

  1. Yes! They'll soon find out!

This is a repetition of the previous verse with emphasis. And the meaning of this is to further intimidate non-believers. And there is also intimidation in the fact that it does not say what kind of punishment awaits them.

And in confirmation that Allah h can resurrect the dead, the subsequent verses contain proof of the Omnipotence of the Creator.

In the Qur'an in some verses Allah h speaks about Himself in the first person. At the same time, the pronoun “We” is sometimes used, but not in the sense of plurality, but for exaltation.

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا ﴿٦﴾

  1. Didn't We create the earth as a cradle?!

At the very beginning it is said about the earth, since this is what a person constantly encounters. And in describing the earth, the word “mihad” is used, which means a place prepared for a baby so that he can sleep comfortably on it. Likewise, the earth was created in such a way that it would be convenient for people to live on it.

وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ﴿٧﴾

  1. And the mountains are on stilts?!

Allah strengthened the earth with the help of mountains so that it did not move or shake. They are similar to piles, since mountains have a root, and it is twice the height of the mountain above the ground.

وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ﴿٨﴾

  1. And We created you in pairs

Allah created people in pairs, that is, men and women. And another interpretation says that people are created different - in skin color, appearance, language, etc., so that they think. And those who have superiority, let them be grateful [to the Creator], and those who do not, let them show patience [understanding that everyone has their own test].

وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ﴿٩﴾

  1. And We created your sleep with a break

Allah Almighty created sleep for people, giving rest and tranquility. In the verse, sleep is called a break, since it interrupts the movements and all the activities of people with which their day was filled and because of which they were tired.

وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ﴿١٠﴾

  1. And We made the night a veil

Allah Almighty created the night, which hides a person from prying eyes.

وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ﴿١١﴾

  1. And We created a day to live

Allah Almighty created the day as a time when people work and earn their livelihood. Therefore, the day is called a time for life, while at night a person sleeps and therefore is like a dead person.

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ﴿١٢﴾

  1. And We have raised seven strongholds over you

Allah Almighty created seven huge, strong, perfect Heavens that do not deteriorate or collapse over time. The distance between them is 500 years of travel, and their thickness is the same.

وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا ﴿١٣﴾

  1. And We created a blazing lamp

Allah Almighty created the sun, which gives light 1. The sun also radiates heat.

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاء ثَجَّاجًا ﴿١٤﴾

  1. And We sent down water from the clouds, flowing abundantly

This verse talks about rain that comes when the wind “squeezes out” the clouds. Also, Imam An-Nasafi, in his interpretation of this verse, writes that Allah Almighty sends winds that carry water from Heaven to the clouds 2.

لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا ﴿١٥﴾

  1. To grow grains and plants with it

Thanks to rain, grains (barley, wheat, etc.) and other plants (trees, grass, etc.) sprout from the ground.

وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا ﴿١٦﴾

  1. and branchy gardens

And thanks to this water, dense gardens grow, in which plants are close to each other.

And how come the unbelievers, who see the amazing signs listed in these verses, do not recognize that Allah h Almighty to resurrect his creations?!

After these verses have mentioned some benefits that Allah h bestowed on his creatures, and what benefits they bring, it is said:

إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَاتًا ﴿١٧﴾

  1. Verily, the Day of Separation is a border

The Day of Judgment in this verse is called the Day of Separation, since on this day it will be clear to everyone what is truth and what is error. According to the predestination of Allah, the Day of Judgment will be the boundary between this life (dunya) and eternal life (akhirat).

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿١٨﴾

  1. On the Day the bugle sounds, you will arrive in droves

When Archangel Israfil blows the horn a second time, the dead will rise, emerge from their graves and arrive at the Gathering Place in large groups.

Imam An-Nasafi in his interpretation of this verse said that people will arrive in communities, with each of which there will be a Prophet.

وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَاء فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا ﴿١٩﴾

  1. and the Heavens will open and become gates

The heavens will split in such a way that cracks will form in them.

Imam An-Nasafi, in his interpretation of this verse, said that the Heavens will split open so that angels will descend from them. Now Heaven is monolithic, and there are no damages, cracks or holes in it 3.

وَسُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ﴿٢٠﴾

  1. and the mountains will move and become a mirage

The mountains will move from their places, turn to dust and dissipate like a mirage.

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا ﴿٢١﴾

  1. Hell indeed trap

Hell has already [been created and] awaits those who deserve painful punishment. And when an unbeliever enters there, he will be locked there forever.

لِلْطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا ﴿٢٢﴾

  1. for the oppressors it is shelter

Hell is the place where unbelievers who have oppressed themselves with their unbelief will go.

لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا ﴿٢٣﴾

  1. They will be there epoch after epoch

The unbelievers will remain in hell epoch after epoch, the series of which does not end [and is not interrupted], that is, they will be there indefinitely. And each of these eras (huqb) lasts 80 years. Imam An-Nasafi in his interpretation also said that what is meant is not a certain number of eras, but eternity - every time one ends, another begins, and so on without end.

In this verse, as in others, there is no evidence that hell will disappear after some time, as Jahm ibn 'Afuan (the founder of the Jahmite sect) claimed.

Islamic theologians have warned that the belief that hell will disappear is against the religion of Islam. For example, the theologian mujtahid hafiz Taqiyuddin As-Subkiy, in his work on the eternity of hell and Paradise “Al-I'tibar,” refuted the conclusion of Ibn Taymiyya, who believed that hell would disappear.

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا ﴿٢٤﴾

  1. There will be neither pleasant coolness nor drink to quench their thirst.

In hell for unbelievers there will be neither coolness 4 that gives relief, nor a tasty drink.

إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا ﴿٢٥﴾

  1. instead - scalding boiling water and thick pus

The drink of the unbelievers will be hamim - boiling water that burns everything it touches, and hassak - a thick, foul-smelling liquid that comes out of the skin of the inhabitants of hell when it burns.

جَزَاء وِفَاقًا ﴿٢٦﴾

  1. This is a fitting reward

The unbelievers deserve this severe punishment by their heinous sins and unbelief.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا ﴿٢٧﴾

  1. Truly, they did not think that there would be a report

The unbelievers did not believe in the Day of Judgment and therefore did not fear the report.

وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا ﴿٢٨﴾

  1. and stubbornly rejected Our verses

The unbelievers not only did not believe what was revealed in the Holy Qur'an, but also resolutely denied its truth.

وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا ﴿٢٩﴾

  1. but everything is recorded in the Book

Every deed - both sin and good deed - is written on the Board of Fates. And for all this there will be reward from Allah, including punishment for disbelief. In addition, the angels write down every deed of a sinner in his book of life for reporting in the Next World.

فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ﴿٣٠﴾

  1. Taste [what you deserve]!

We will add nothing but torment to you!

Torment will be added to the unbelievers endlessly, because they did not believe in the Day of Reckoning and in what was revealed in the Qur'an. This verse contains a stern warning (tawbih) to the disbelievers and a grave threat of terrible torment for their disbelief. Scholars have said that this is the most powerful verse in the Holy Qur'an addressed to the inhabitants of hell.

إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ﴿٣١﴾

  1. And for the God-fearing, victory truly awaits -

He who avoids the forbidden will also avoid the fire of hell. Salvation and eternal life in Paradise await him.

حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا ﴿٣٢﴾

  1. paradise gardens and vineyards

Gardens with many different fruit-bearing trees and vines have been prepared for believers in Paradise.

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا ﴿٣٣﴾

  1. and maidens of the same age with round breasts

وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا ﴿٣٤﴾

  1. and the cups are full

The inhabitants of Paradise will drink delicious heavenly drinks from filled cups.

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا ﴿٣٥﴾

  1. They will not hear any bad words or lies there.

In Paradise there will be no bad words, no lies, and no one will deceive each other.

جَزَاء مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاء حِسَابًا ﴿٣٦﴾

  1. This a worthy reward from your Lord -

Allah Almighty, by His Mercy, will reward believers with numerous and endless pleasures in Paradise.

رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرحْمَنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا ﴿٣٧﴾

  1. Lord of Heaven and earth and everything in between. Everyone will be silent

Allah is the Lord of Heaven and earth and everything in between. He is the Merciful for everyone in this world and only for believers in the Next World. And the inhabitants of Heaven and earth cannot dispute the punishment or reward that Allah has ordained, since they are all in His Power. And the created have no right to be indignant at the Will of the Creator.

This is not a denial of shafa'at 5, since shafa'at is also included in the predestination of Allah and will be exclusively with the permission of the Almighty.

  1. on the day when Jibril and the angels stand in rows and no one speaks, except those whom the All-Merciful allowed, and they spoke the truth

On the Day of Judgment Jibril and the other angels will line up in rows. These honorable creatures of Allah will remain silent, showing humility before their Creator. And no one will do shafa'at without the permission of Allah - neither angels nor people.

The interpreter of the Qur'an, Imam Mujahid 6, said that shafa'at will be done by [the most worthy of those] who spoke the truth in earthly life and acted according to it.

[And there will be no shafa’at for the disbelievers]. The infidels were careless and did not think about the Day of Judgment, which is actually close, and there is no doubt that it will come. On this day, both the believer and the unbeliever will see both the good and the evil that they have done. And they will be provided with undeniable arguments for them or against them.

Imams Abu Hurayrah and Ibn 'Umar said that, truly, Allah will resurrect animals and even justice will be restored between them (for example, if some animal in this life was hornless and was gored by another animal, then on the Day of Judgment it will be the other way around) . And after that they will turn into earth.

ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ مَآبًا ﴿٣٩﴾

  1. That day will come without a doubt, and whoever wants to be saved should follow the path of goodness

There will certainly be a Day of Judgment, and there is no doubt about it. Its duration has been determined and will not change. And whoever wants to be saved from the punishment of Allah on the Day of Judgment, let him follow the path that Allah has approved.

In this verse, the words “whoever wants salvation, let him follow the path of good” mean a threat to unbelievers and a warning about their punishment, and not approval to choose any path, including unbelief.

  1. Verily, We have warned you of the imminent punishment on the day when man sees what his hands have done, and the disbeliever exclaims: “Oh, that I might become earth!”

On the Day of Judgment, each person will see all his deeds: both good and evil, written in the book of his deeds. And the cry of the unbeliever “Oh, that I might become earth!”- this is a confirmation of the warning about a terrible punishment. That is, the unbeliever will want to turn to dust (disappear) so as not to experience this terrible torment.

And truly, Allahh knows best!

2 is proof that the so-called water cycle in nature is an incorrect theory, since the amount of water that evaporates from the surface of reservoirs and the water that falls as precipitation does not coincide. Every year the same amount of precipitation falls on the earth.

3 now there are gates in Heaven, but they are closed and guarded, and open only with permission

4 but there will be painful cold as one of the punishments

5 in Arabic the word “shafa’at” means a request from one to another in favor of a third. According to Shari'a, "shafa'at" is the appeal of the Prophet Muhammad to Allah on the Day of Judgment with a request for relief for a Muslim who has committed a great sin, for example, to save him from the heat of the sun or from punishment in hell. And also, with the permission of Allah, other Prophets, saints, angels, children and martyrs can do shafa’at.

Holy Quran this word must be read in Arabic as - الْقُـرْآن contains 114 suras and is divided into 30 approximately equal parts (juz), each of which has its own name. The last part of the Koran has the largest number of suras - 37, but they are short, and therefore the study of the Koran often begins with this juz, which is called 'Amma.'

INTERPRETATION OF THE HOLY QURAN - SURAH 82 "AL-INFITA R"

This surah consists of 19 verses. According to the unanimous conclusion of Muslim scholars, they were revealed in Mecca.

Let's start with the Name of Allah in the name of God in Arabic “Allah”, the letter “x” is pronounced like ه Arabic- Merciful for everyone in this world and only for believers in the Next World.

إِذَا السَّمَاء انفَطَرَتْ ﴿١﴾

  1. When the sky splits,

    وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انتَثَرَتْ ﴿٢﴾

  2. and when the stars (planets) fall,

    وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ ﴿٣﴾

  3. and when the seas unite.
The seas will overflow (overflow their banks) and unite into one sea.

    وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ﴿٤﴾

  4. and when the graves burst forth and the dead rise,
The earth on the graves will crack, and what was in their depths will appear on the surface. The dead will come to life and come out of their graves.

    عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ﴿٥﴾

  5. everyone will know what they did and what they missed!
Ibn ‘Abbas, in his interpretation of this verse, said: “Everyone will know what he has done from good deeds and what he has not done from what he was obliged to do.”

    يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ ﴿٦﴾

  6. Oh man! What deceived you and you did not believe in your Lord - Al-Karim
There is an opinion that the reason for the revelation of this verse was the unbeliever Ubay ibn Khalaf he was one of the influential Quraysh, but this appeal applies to all non-believers. This condemning question implies: “What deceived and deceived you so much that you did not believe in the Lord, who gave you so many blessings?!” What seduces a person in this life (dunya) is wealth, power, pleasure, and what seduces him is the shaitan. One scientist said: “Dunya seduces, harms and leaves,” that is, it seduces with something that has no benefit. Al-Baydawiy said that the answer to the question asked in the verse: “He was deceived by his shaitan!”
One of the meanings of the Name of Allah “Al-Kareem” mentioned in this verse is “He who grants forgiveness and is not in a hurry to punish.” But the shaitan deceives a person, inspiring him: “Do what you want, because your Lord is Al-Karim, and He will not punish anyone!”
A Sufi named Muhammad ibn Sabih ibn As-Sammak said in verse: “O he who hides his sin! Aren't you ashamed?! After all, Allah sees you, even when you are alone! Are you really reassured by the fact that Allah will not immediately punish you and hides your bad deeds from others?!” Imam Zunnun Al-Misriy said: “How many sinners do not feel [the severity of their sins] because their sins are hidden from others!”
Imam An-Nasafi in his interpretation of this verse said that this is an appeal to those who denied the resurrection. Question: “What deceived you means: “What deceived you so much that you did not do what you owed, but Allah Al-Karim gave you existence and created you in a beautiful image?!”
When Prophet Muhammad in the name of the Prophet "Muhammad" the letter "x" is pronounced like ح in Arabic read this he said: “He was deceived by ignorance!” ‘Umar said: “He was deceived by stupidity!” And Imam Al-Hasan said: “He was deceived by the shaitan.” And there are other opinions.

    الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ﴿٧﴾

  7. The One who created you and made you straight, proportionate,
God created man, giving him a beautiful appearance: proportional, harmonious, slender and with full-fledged organs. The human organs are healthy, his body, arms and legs are straight, symmetrical: one arm is no longer than the other, one eye is no larger than the other, of the same appearance and color (not that one arm is black and the other white). Unlike animals, a person moves on two legs, walks straight, evenly, and maintains balance.

    فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاء رَكَّبَكَ ﴿٨﴾

  8. And he gave you the image that He wanted!
Allah created every person in the form in which He predestined: male or female, beautiful or ugly, tall or short, similar to some relatives or to others.

    كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ ﴿٩﴾

  9. But no! You don't believe in retribution on the Day of Judgment!
This is an appeal to non-believers with condemnation that they do not recognize the religion of Islam and do not believe that there will be rewards for good deeds and punishment for bad ones. And in this condemnation there is a warning about punishment.

    وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ ﴿١٠﴾

  10. And truly, there are guardians with you -
Each person is accompanied by angels who record his deeds and words.

    كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ ﴿١١﴾

  11. Honorary scribes
The unbelievers do not believe in retribution, but the angels write down their deeds, and even what is hidden in their hearts (Allah grants the angels to know this), so that the unbelievers will answer for everything. The exaltation of Angels recording the deeds of people emphasizes the importance of the report.

    يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

  12. Who know what you are doing.
None of the deeds of people, whether good or evil, is hidden from these angels, and every deed is recorded. And this warning is a deterrent to sinners and a mercy to the God-fearing. Al-Fudayl ibn Iyad said: “What a powerful verse for those who forget themselves in their carelessness!”

    إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ ﴿١٣﴾

  13. Verily, the pious are in pleasure!
Here it is said about believers who will abide in the pleasures of Paradise. God-fearing believers in this life receive pleasure from submission to the Creator, contentment with what is predetermined for them (including trials), and with what is given to them, even if this is not enough, and in the Next World they will enjoy in Paradise.

    وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ ﴿١٤﴾

  14. Truly, great sinners are in hell,
here we mean non-believers. They will all be in hell. The punishment for their unbelief is a blazing fire.

    يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ ﴿١٥﴾

  15. To which they will be cast down on the Day of Judgment!
non-believers will go to hell on Judgment Day. There they will experience terrible torment from intense heat and burning fire.

    وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ ﴿١٦﴾

  16. And none of them will escape this punishment!
Not a single unbeliever will escape punishment, and not a single one of them will escape from hell. There they will remain forever.

    وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ﴿١٧﴾

  17. What do you know about the Day of Judgment?!
Some commentators have said. that this is an appeal to an unbeliever, and others are an appeal to the Prophet Muhammad, in the sense that even he does not imagine the enormity and severity of the Day of Judgment.

    ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ﴿١٨﴾

  18. Yes! What do you know about the Day of Judgment!
This is a repetition to strengthen the meaning of the previous verse and further intimidate the unbelievers.

    يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ ﴿١٩﴾

  19. That day when no one can help anyone, and everything will be according to the Will of Allah!
On the Day of Judgment, not a single created person will be able to help another created one, except for those who, by the Will of Allah, will do Shafa’at (Shafa’at will only be for Muslims, and unbelievers should not expect any relief at all)
This verse says that on the Day of Judgment everything will be according to the Will of Allah, but we know that absolutely everything in this world always happens according to the Will of Allah, and on the Day of Judgment this will be even more obvious to the created ones, including those who did not believe in God].

Surah “An-Nasr” is the 110th in the Holy Quran, consists of three verses, was revealed after Surah at-Tawba, belongs to the Medina surahs, although it was revealed during the “Farewell Hajj”. The name of the sura comes from the word “nasr” - “help”. The help that Allah Almighty granted to His Prophet. This sura is also called “Iza ja’a” - according to the first words of the verse; and "Tadvi", i.e. "Farewell" because it was revealed during the Farewell Hajj. Some mufassirs believe that Surah Nasr is the last sura, but not the last verses of the Holy Quran revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In one of the hadiths, this surah is equated to a quarter of the Koran (Tirmidhi, “Fadail-l-Koran”, 10). The pious Aisha (radiyallahu anha) said: “After this surah was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) after each prayer said: “Subhanaka Rabbana wa bihamdik, Allahumma gfirli!” (“O Lord, you are Most Pure, Praise be to You! Oh, My Allah, forgive me!”). He also often repeated these words in the position of ruku and sajda” (Bukhari, “Tafsir of the Sura”, 110/2, 3).

Interpretation

2. when you see people entering the religion of Allah in droves,

3. Exalt your Lord with praise and ask Him for forgiveness. Verily, He isReceiver of repentance.

1. When Allah's help and victory come,

“Nasrullah” means the help of Allah, help in victory over enemies, which Allah Almighty promised to his Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and believers.

The mufassirs believe that the “victory” mentioned in the surah is the capture of Mecca. Before accepting Islam, many Arabs waited for the Quraysh, the inhabitants of Mecca, to do so first, reasoning: “If he can control his tribe, then he is truly a Prophet!” And when Allah Almighty fulfilled His promise by opening the gates of Mecca for Muslims, in the 9th year of Hijra, which is also called the “Year of Delegations,” the Arabs began to accept the religion of Allah in entire tribes. Less than two years after the capture of Mecca, Islam spread throughout the Arabian Peninsula.

The word “al-Fath”, “victory,” also has a broader meaning, meaning not only, and maybe not so much the capture of Mecca, but the conquest of people’s hearts, because true victory is not in the seizure of territory, but in the spread of faith. With the opening of the doors of the Kaaba, the gates to spiritual and material victories opened for Muslims. Islam began to rapidly spread not only in Arabia, but also beyond its borders.

2. when you see people joining the religion of Allah in droves

“O Muhammad, with the help of the only One worthy of worship, the One who guided you, victory will come, and you will see how huge masses of people will begin to join His religion!”

The Koran says: “Allah has ordained: “Victory will certainly be achieved by Me and My Messengers!” Verily, Allah is Almighty, Mighty!” (Surah Al-Mujadilah, 58/21). “Verily, We will provide assistance to Our messengers and believers in worldly life and on the day when the witnesses (Judgment Day) appear” (Surah al-Mumin, 40/51).

“O you who believe! If you help Allah, then He will help you and strengthen your steps /strengthen you in the struggle/” (Sura “Muhammad”, 47/7).

The verse does not say “people entered the religion of Allah,” but it says “enter.” People, and not only Arabs, are entering and will continue to enter and convert to Islam day after day, year after year until the End of the World.

“Crowds” means large groups. After the battles of Hunayn and Taifa, which occurred after the capture of Mecca, for two years, until the death of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), people from all over the Arabian Peninsula accepted Islam in entire tribes.

With the first two verses of Surah An-Nasr, Allah Almighty gives a sign to the Prophet that with the victory of Islam in Arabia and the mass conversion of people to Islam, his mission has come to an end. The Creator orders the Prophet to make tasbih, to give praise to the One with whose mercy he succeeded in this great task:

3. Exalt your Lord with praise and ask Him for forgiveness. Verily, He is the Acceptor of repentance.

In this verse, Allah Almighty addresses the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), who serves as an example for the entire Ummah, which means that every Muslim, receiving benefit and support from Allah, should express gratitude to Him and praise Him.

To say the words “Subhan Allah” and make “Tasbih” means to extol Allah Almighty over everything that is not worthy of Him. Exalting Allah is the basis of ibadah, which is manifested both in actions and in words or intentions. Allah's help, victory, and the spread of Islam culminate in the exaltation of His Name and thanksgiving.

“Exalt with praise!” - “Having found the great mercy of Allah, praise Him with worthy praise, exalt even more above that which is unworthy of His Essence, Syfat, Actions, Names!” Along with the increase in the manifestations of Allah's mercy, our gratitude and exaltation of His Name should increase. The inhabitants of Paradise will address Allah Almighty with tasbih and end their speeches with praise:

“There they will cry: “Glorified are You, Allah!” There their greeting will be the word: “Peace!” And their prayers will end with the words: “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!” (Sura Yunus, 10/10).

Angels also make tasbih to Allah Almighty. All creatures of Allah, each in their own way, are called to do tasbih, to praise Allah and thank Him:

“He is exalted by the seven heavens, the earth and those who are in them. There is nothing that does not exalt Him with praise, but you do not understand their praise." (Surah Isra 17/44)

Birds, animals, fish, plants - they read tasbih in a language unknown to us.

Tasbih, the words “Subhan Allah” are often pronounced by Muslims after something greatly surprises them. If this surprise is associated with something beautiful, then the tasbih glorifies the Creator of this beauty. If surprise is associated with something bad, then tasbih is exalting the name of Allah over that which is unworthy of Him.

Explaining the meaning of tasbih, the mufassir cite the explanation of the Prophet (PBUH): “Allah is pure, above any shortcomings” (Ibn Majah, “Iqamat” 179). Those. Tasbih expresses the purity of Allah Almighty from everything that is unworthy of His Essence, Syfat, Actions, Names.

“Istighfar” is a prayer to the Almighty for forgiveness. “Tawbah” is the cessation of sin, repentance, and the intention not to repeat it. Unlike tawb, a person can do istighfar, ask the Almighty for forgiveness not only of his sins, but also of the sins of other people: “Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents and believers on the Day of Reckoning!” (Sura Ibrahim, 14/41).

In the order of the Almighty “ask Him for forgiveness!”, i.e. do “istighfar” most likely means forgiveness not so much for the Prophet himself (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), whom Allah Almighty saved from committing sins, but forgiveness for his Ummah. The Prophet said: “Day and night I do istighfar 100 times.” Such frequent istighfar of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), first of all, indicates the importance of istighfar for other people.

The pious Aisha (radiyallahu anha) said: “The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) often repeated in recent days: “Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi, astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilaih.” When asked about this, he replied: “My Lord made me know that I would see a sign in my Ummah, and when I saw it, he ordered me to perform hamd (praise), tasbih (exaltation) and istighfar (ask for forgiveness).” (Muslim, Salat, 221).

No matter how zealous the servant of Allah is in his worship, he still cannot avoid mistakes and shortcomings, therefore istighfar is done after many types of ibada. Istighfar is repeated three times after fard prayer; pilgrims do istighfar after Hajj; Those who perform Tahajjud do Istighfar in the middle of the night... Istighfar is done after ablution, after the end of the meeting. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), getting up after meetings, said: “Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik” (Muslim, “Salat” 218-220).

The order of the Most High “exalt your Lord with praise and ask Him for forgiveness” let the Messenger of Allah know that his prophetic mission was approaching the end. Therefore, Surah al-Nasr is also called “Tadwi” - “Farewell”. According to Ibn Umar, after the revelation of this surah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) lived for 80 days.

One of the hadiths says that when the Messenger of Allah read the verses of Surah an-Nasr, the Prophet’s companions rejoiced, but Abbas (radiyallahu anhu) began to cry. When the Prophet (PBUH) asked him: “My uncle, why are you crying?” He replied: “This speaks of your death!” The Prophet confirmed the correctness of his words (Bukhari, “Tafsir of the Sura”, 110/3). Close sahabahs such as Abbas and Umar (radiyallahu anhuma) guessed that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was completing his journey, and Allah Almighty fulfilled his promises: “He is the One Who sent His Messenger with the right guidance and the religion of truth, so that exalt it above all other religions" (Sura Al-Fath, 48/28).

“Today I have completed religion for you, completed My mercy on you and approved Islam as a religion for you” (Surah Al-Maida, 5/3).

With this, the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on earth ended, and the responsibility assigned to him to call to the True Path passed to us, his followers.

(40) We warned you against punishing your loved ones. On that day man will see what his hands have prepared, and the unbeliever will say: “Oh, that I were dust!”

We have warned you against the punishment that will come very soon. And everything that will certainly come can be called close. On this day, a person will only be bothered by what he has done. And then he will look at the life he has lived to find what he has prepared for eternal life. The Almighty said: “O you who believe! Fear Allah, and let the soul see what it has prepared for tomorrow. Fear Allah, for Allah knows what you do” (59:18).

If he discovers the good he has done, then let him give praise to Allah; if he discovers something different, then let him blame only himself. That is why, out of great grief and overwhelming regret, unbelievers will wish for death, exclaiming: “I wish I were dust!”

God, protect us from evil and unbelief, because You are Generous, Magnanimous!

(39) This will be a true day, and whoever wishes will find a way to return to his Lord.

From now on, anyone who wants can do good and believe that on the Day of Resurrection the reward for virtue will return to him.

(38) On the day when the Spirit [Jibril] and the angels stand in rows, no one will speak except those whom the Merciful allows, and they will speak the truth.

Only those whom Allah will allow will be awarded this honor, and they will speak the absolute truth. This will be the day of truth, because lies will disappear and will not bring any benefit to the liars. The most worthy of the angels, Jibril, and all the other angels will obediently line up in rows before Allah.
After Allah deceived and frightened, delighted and warned His servants, He said:

(36) This will be a reward from your Lord and a countable gift [or generous, or: sufficient],

(37) The Lord of heaven and earth and that which is between them, the Merciful, with whom they dare not even speak.

Allah will bestow this generous reward on the believers out of His mercy and virtue. The reason for this will be their good deeds. He helped them accomplish them and made them an occasion for receiving His generous gift.

He is the Lord of heaven and earth. He created the Universe and rules it. His mercy embraces every thing. He trains believers and shows them compassion and generosity until they achieve their desired goal.

Then the Almighty emphasized His power and His undivided authority on the Day of Resurrection, when all creation will be silent and will not utter a word.

(31) Indeed, a place of salvation awaits the God-fearing,

(32) Gardens of Eden and vineyards,

(33) and full-breasted peers,

(34) and full cups.

(35) They will not hear any idle talk or lies there.

After mentioning the fate of sinners, Allah announced the outcome that awaits the God-fearing slaves. They fear the wrath of their Lord and obey Him, and therefore a blessed, saving abode is prepared for them, in which they will be far from Gehenna. In this monastery they will find gardens with all kinds of flowering and fruit-bearing trees and vineyards, among which streams flow. Allah specifically mentioned grapes because of their many virtues and abundance in the Gardens of Eden.

There, wives who meet all the requirements of the human soul await them. They will be young, and their breasts will not shrink from their youth, strength and health. The inhabitants of Paradise will be in the prime of their youth, at the age of thirty-three, and it is well known that peer spouses usually live in love and harmony.

They will enjoy aged wine that gives pleasure to those who drink it. They will not hear any useless speech or sinful expressions. The Almighty said: “They will not hear there either idle talk or sinful speeches, but only the words: “Peace! Peace!” (56:25–26).

(30) Eat! We will not add anything to you except torment.

O unbelievers! Taste a painful punishment and be disgraced. From now on, your torment will intensify with every hour, with every moment. This is the most severe verse about the severity of the torment of the inhabitants of Hell, Allah forbid us from this!

(29) We counted and wrote down every thing.

Everything small and great, bad and good, is counted and written down in the Preserved Tablet. Let the sinners not think that We will punish them for sins that they did not commit, and let them not think that any of their deeds will be missed or forgotten, even if it is the weight of an atom of dust. The Almighty said: “The book will be laid down, and you will see how sinners will tremble at what is in it. They will say: “Woe to us! What is this book! Neither small nor great sin is missed in it - everything is counted.” They will reveal to them all that they have done, and your Lord will not deal unjustly with anyone” (18:49).

(27) Truly, they did not hope for settlement

(28) and completely denied Our signs.

They did not believe in resurrection and retribution and therefore refused to do good for the sake of the Hereafter. At the same time, they openly rejected God's signs and continued to persist.

(26) This will be a fitting retribution.

They deserved such a terrible punishment for their bad deeds. Allah will not be unjust to them, for they themselves were unjust to themselves. That is why Allah further mentioned some of the acts for which they will be awarded this retribution.

(21) Verily, Gehenna is an ambush

(22) and a place of return for those who transgress the boundaries of what is permitted.

(23) They will remain there for many years,

(24) without tasting any coolness or drink,

(25) but only boiling water and pus.

The hellfire prepared by Allah for those who commit lawlessness will flare up with renewed vigor. It will become a place of return and refuge for them for many years. Many commentators of the Qur'an have noted that the Arabic word hukb means 'eighty years'.

The hellish martyrs will find nothing there to cool their skin and quench their thirst. They will drink hot water, which will burn their faces and tear their intestines, as well as the pus of the inhabitants of Hell themselves, which has an absolutely disgusting smell and taste.
